Default 91 civic crank pulley tool

Hi everyone. I have a 91 civic LX 1.5 and am trying to change the timing belt. I broke both of the tools I made to hold the pulley while trying to loosen the crank bolt. So now I am looking for this tool. I can not find it anywhere. Does anyone have one they would be willing to sell, or let me borrow if I pay for shipping? There is an OTC model, but it's about $100 and it comes with the hex tool for new hondas, which I already have. Any help or ideas on this would be great.
Thanks

Ebay often has an aftermarket version of this tool. As of this writing, I see the one by Powerbuilt selling on Ebay for about $25 total.

Here is a discussion of other sources and my homemade version of the tool: http://sites.google.com/site/hondali...eyholdingtools

Thanks, I actually made a tool like what you showed on your page, but the bolts just bent. Though they may not have been the higher grade bolts like you mentioned. Also, when the bolts bent the bar slipped and cracked a chunk off of my pulley, so I ordered a new one. Though I did just find the powerbuilt tool on ebay by searching in the completed listings, and finding similar current listings...though the description was way off so thats why i didnt find it last time when I looked.
Thanks for the help.

you can also do it the ghetto way.

- take off your starter
- get a deep socket (size is your choice but i recommend something like a 17-19)
- wedge the socket between the teeth on the flywheel/torque converter and the opening in the case
(sometimes helps to have a buddy handy)
- remove the crank pulley bolt with a breaker bar and a pole/metal tube that fits over it

and your done.

F that tool, what i did was measure the size of the crank pulley hex hole, went to home depot and bought a huge *** hex nut the same size as the hole. Then got a peice of steel and welded it to the back side of the nut. Then i put the big *** nut into the crank pulley get a chain and chain the peice of thick steel you weldded to the back on the side of the nut and chain it to the crossmember, now the nut has a big enough hole to fit a socket threw and wala. Same thing to tighten it back on.

Here is the original write up but i did it a little different.
