Wdup fellow Hater-techers. I Stiff present you, my EK build thread prep for track events, and the future Honda Challenge!

Here is a little preview of how i come upon this car.

This car was once a full running car not too long ago. Fellow HT member of SoCal "OnlyHJC" was the first inheritance of this car. He cannot register it due to no paper work issue of No Customs Papers from Canada. He then part out the whole car!

then... he sold it to a fellow member here on HT also "MopedStud".

Mr. MopedStud then sold "whats left of the shell" to me from SB!! He also delivery it to me! Thanks again! This Shell was bought about a month ago!

sorry honda-techers, i have been busy with the past weeks with this build this is what i have done a few days ago.

***** RESULTS ******

Cleaned up the Bay with Rust-O-Leum Auto Stripper.

**** ALMOST DONE CLEANING THE BAY. I JUST NEED VERY LITTLE SPOTS OF TAR LEFT! ****

then....

pulled out the dashboard. and stipped bits and pieces of whatever that was behind the dash (heater, blower boxes, interior heat cover, cabin harnesses and some little pieces)

I then stripped the dash cover and left the exoskeleton.

*************************************************

Things i have purchased. for the project.

ADVAN RGs $1,200 with some 195/60/15 tires from Memory Fab!!

What came in the mail on Weds. Nov. 25th

Engine bay fuse box with fuses, $33 shipped from Ebay.com

So far in total of this project:

Shell $200+
Advan RG $1,200
Engine bay fuse box $33

= $1,433 IN TOTAL!! as of Nov. 28th 2009.

idk about california, but here in rhode island. all vehicles that are older than 10 years don't even have titles anymore. all you need to register it is a copy of a previous registration and a bill of sale from the previous registered owner. its easy enough to get a copy of the registration from the dmv, then you can either find the person, or you can make the bill of sale yourself. unless you buy the car from a junkyard, where they will give you the papers you need.

If your making it into an autox car you might have left the heater/ac. What about when you race in the cold with fogged windshield and you cant move confortably cuz of the cold and cant see the road.

Im jealous dude of how you can just buy $1200 rims and thats for a car that doesnt even run.

and its been rainy here in SoCal. not much work have done to this yet, but when the rain slows, I will update.
