KGB 97 LS BUILD KABOOOOOM!!! (CAR PAINTD UPDATED)

Well the time has come to start my own lil project thread. So here goes nothing... I'll go back in time a lil bit and bring you up-to-date with the various things I've done (that I have pictures of anyway) To start off, I own a 97 LS DC4. Paid $2300.00. It had 16x,xxx miles on the O.D. I always name my cars and I spent a good while picking out a suiting name for my LS. After much debate, I decided on with Izzy A little about me: I'm 20 yrs old and I'm currently serving in the USAF, stationed at the 167th AW in Martinsburg WV. I also go to college as a part-time student....need that education lol This is a slow build due to fall/winter, but it will pick up after February (hopefully) Here's a few pics of how it was when I purchased it. the car is sitting at the bodyshop, she needed some body work. here is the engine, it needs degrease and power washed. also i tore out the whole interior, my doing a tan to black swap.

My plans for my teg is as followed:
1. suspension: full suspension, brembo slotted and cross drilled rotors, hawk brake pads, earl's ss brake lines, and rota candy red slips
2. interior: tan to black swap.....its a suprise!!!!
3. exterior: finish up the little things
4. engine: wire tuck and shave, ls vtec swap the right way, and repaint

The car is over at my friends Pete house, this dude does the best paint job i've seen! also i bought some candy red rota slips with falken ziex 502 tires and NRG extended gold lugs lastnight...pics will be up when i get them at the end of the weekend. Should have the car back also... Here are some of my suspension parts Tein Basic Coilovers, Candy Purple Blox LCA, Candy Purple ASR Subframe Brace, and Candy Purple Beaks Lower Tie Bar. Coilovers are in the pile of parts down in one of the bottom boxes. Also a little hint about the interior!







Well after a month i finally got the car back from the bodyshop, but had to wait another month for them to primer my front and rear bumper!!! also got alot of suspension parts, new oil pan with gasket, and a few other interior pieces. Here are a few pics when i got it back from the bodyshop...i was still wanting for my bumpers and the front passenger tire is flat thats why its leaning.

So i was on duty today, i'm an aircraft mechanic "sheet metal" and i was checking out parts and other things for the teg. Then i thought that why bother with a slow build. I get paid everything 2 weeks with the military so im going to do an all out build....plans for the weekend is get car back and jacked up for suspension then throw my Slips on that should be here by Friday. Also i'm going to spray the valve cover/change oil pan/put my new shifter in. Order rotors/brake pads/ss brake lines. so pics will be up this weekend

Why did you purchase the beaks bar with the ASR? Please tell me you're at least getting a sway bar..

thanks alot man...i purchase them seperatly, and im looking for an itr sway bar..but im going to put my suspension i have for now.

update: a friend of mine has a 95 Integra with black interior. He was at the track and blow the motor so he is parting out the whole interior to me...yay!! so i should have that this weekend, also trying to get some pics of the car of how it looks as of now....

ohh mayn. that was alot of bondo/filler on the right rear qrt panel. =O get more updates. ill be followin this. keep it up!!

I know that's why I sent it to the bodyshop and spent a grand to get it removed, hammer the body back into shape and refinish it...

UPDATE: So here is an update on the teg. The with the wonderful weather that we have today in Martinsburg WV "41 degree and rainy all day" my friend pete called me telling me he couldnt spray the teg today. So he willnt be able to spray it till the weekend now, but i managed to get a few pics of the bumper semi sprayed! I dont have a before pic of the rear bumper but it was sprayed gray primer...Also i talked to LSD_Motorsports and my Rims and Lugs were shipped to me today...so maybe have them this weekend...

At work on a Saturday ....my rims should be at my house when i get off duty. The car is being sprayed today. Ill try to get some pics up tonight of some of the car and interior parts.

Here is alittle update on the car. Its almost done should have it sometime this week, the dude ran out of paint and still have to spray the door and hatch jams. My rims should be here tomorrow hopefully...lmk what you think about the paint!

lol yea i like to be different, wait till i get my rims in and throw them on...it will be one sick teg! and no they were there when i bought the car, but the dude nvr connected them
