Default Where to go for a Swap? Engine Swap Help- 1987 Honda CRX Si

I have 1987 Honda CRX SI stick shift but I blew my stock engine. Now Im tryin to get a engine swap that costs no more than 1200 including the engine and the labor. Where the hell can I go in Southern Cali to get something like that?

no where. best bet is to find an 86-87 integra on craigslist and do the swap yourself. you'll need most of the parts from one anyways for any swap you do..

Which is why you will pay someone who does about $500 in labor to do it for you. Plus parts, plus tax.

Or

Buy a running car

Yeh you'd be lookin at a shadetree job; I mean if you have the Honda tool kit (10, 12, 14, & 17mm wrenches, sockets & a few extensions) and a Harbor Freight hoist you can do it with a knowledgeable, patient friend. The hardest part is not cracking your fenders hehe..
Finding a running salvage engine is hit/miss, and having a machine shop go thru yours, hmm SoCal prices are jacked I hear, I can have an engine gone thru here for about 1200 worst case, but thats with me doing the assembly

label your sh$t on the way out

dude I told you on superhonda

86-89 integra with everything, then just swap everything over. if you get your ecu and wiring form one car, match the years 86-87 love each other and 88-89 love each other

redpepperracing like you posted

should cost no more then 500 bucks, considering the motor is already 20 years old. anyone who charges more is being a greedy asshole

peace

on what grounds can you make a statement like that? and i was merly stating that for the amount of money this dude wanted to spend a b16 is his best choice for the money he wanted to spend.

wow. way to do your research. firstly, i NEVER SAID a b18 was faster.. where the heck do you see me posting that? damn man, read!! there's a reason why i know what it takes to drop a b series into an 84-87; i'm doing one and know pretty much every one that has.. what experience do you have? please.. school me. school me on a process that i obviously know nothing about.. take a nap fool? really? someone with 6 posts is schooling me? i've been here for 8 years..

and by the way, i've done more than one swap... no need to be an internet bad ass...

thanks 2ndgenguy for support..

And you know nothing of engine swapping gen III Civics but you recomend a B16 swap for the guy? Do some more reserch before you post like you know everything. Also keep the trash talking out of the classic "Honda fourms", thanks and have a nice day...

My vouch is a 1.6l dohc ZC swap, keep it simple...
