Default b18b1 swap into a 99 ex questions

so my ex got stolen and i got it back the next day they only took my engine, dont know what for but oh well, anyways great oportunity to swap in a B im looking into swapping a b18b1 since its not so expensive and im planning on boosting later on, anyways i have a few Q's i didnt find the answers in the search..

my car is obd2b and the only b18b1's that are obd2b are 00-01 i think

i want to know what engine do i get for a plug and play swap

and if i HAVE to get a obd2a engine because i cant find a obd2b what is involved in the swap does my stock harness plug into the obd2a engine or what do i need to make this work

also i read i need shift linkages so which ones bolt up, the stock integra ones? if so from what year model?

Well, you just need to get an OBD2 swap in general so it has the CKF sensor. Unless you want to pay someone to remove the immobilizer from an OBD2B Integra ECU, I would just get an OBD2B to OBD2A conversion harness and get an OBD2A Integra ECU. That way, you remain OBD2 but you don't have to pay to get the Immobilizer bypassed on the ECU. Just get the Si driver side cast iron bracket and the rear T bracket from an Si, re use all the rubber mounts in the car and use the torque mount brackets from the Integra swap. If you want to keep AC, the most cost effective way to go about it is to get the CRV P7J AC bracket. The D series compressor will bolt right to it.

Easiest way to go about it IMO.

Worst case, you will have to swap out injectors and there is a chance that the distributor plug will be different. If the dizzy plug is different, you can swap the internals from a Civic or Integra one with the correct plug or just put the right plug on it. everything else will be plug and play.

No, that would not work. 96-98 green plug pinout is different than 99-00 green plug. Also, 99-00 has 2 plugs on the engine harness and the third ECU plug on the dash harness. I'd just get the obd2b to obd2a conversion harness and plug it into what you have. If you are not going to run VTEC on your car ever, you could also get away with a non vtec harness. You'd have to do the 2 pin iac plug and pin swap at ECU plugs and play with the harness a bit to make everything plug in.

ok, to get this all straight i need the engine which could be a 94-99 engine obd2a which i think are most common around, because getting a 00-01 engine might be harder just to have it be obd2b...so i get the obd2a engine plug it into my harness which is mostly plug and play except for maybe injectors and dizzy, also get the obd2b to obd2a conversion jumper and a obd2a Ecu and plug that in.... is that all correct?

Pretty much. Only difference is your year range would be 96 and up. 94-95 is OBD1 and lacks the CKF sensor.
