Default Hard Top ?

Hello all, I know there is numerous hardtop question's and i searched to find this but did not succeed. SO i aplogize if this has been asked before:
- When an s2000 has a hard top is the OEM soft top completley removed or is in just in the down position? Although not pertaining to the question im going to purchase an s2000 after my 00 si is sold. I love the look of the hard top but if your out and its raining and the top is at home are you just going to soaked haha?
- once again sry if this has already been asked thanks for the imput ( if any )

The hardtops are removable and retain the soft top folded up. Some people elect to remove the soft top as none of its components are required for the hardtop to be installed.

OP, the hardtop fits onto the car with the soft top still installed and in the lowered position.

One would assume you do not have a factory hardtop. If this is the case, your only option is to take it to a good body show and see what they can do for you.

Yeah i heard alot of bad things involving hard tops (cheaper ones that is ) with issues. Perhaps your 2000 could be a victim of this.

dude. You can have the OEM hardtop on with the ragtop down. no proble. On the OEM hard top they have this bracket at the bottum end. its like a block thing to prevent you from accidently raising your top.

1.) Maybe it could have been a knock off OEM hardtop with OEM glass in it.
2.) Or is it possible it could of been in an accident like some sort of collision that knocked the alignment out? Just a guess but im sure you would have been notified if it was.

There are no aftermarket hardtops that use the factory glass that I know of. The factory hardtop is adjustable. There are instructions on how to adjust it in the factory service manual.
