Default Wife's head is box of rocks

My wife comes into the bedroom at 7am this morning in a panic. Interrupting the best dream i've had in weeks. She tells me she locked her keys in the car, and it's running. I tell her to go get her spare.......she looks at me and starts crying and I knew right away the spare key was in her purse and locked in the car.

I asked her why she has the spare in her purse, her response was I start the car and lock the door while its getting warm (while she waits inside). My neighborhood is almost right smack next to a retirement villiage. Who the **** is going to steal her car.

Here I am at 715 am in the morning, all banged up looking, severe morning wood and trying to break into her car. Couldnt do it and didnt want to damage anything. Had to call a locksmith................150 bucks later.

Her teeth were about 5 minutes away from swinging like they were on door hinges.

Then I come inside after paying the non english speaking car jacker to find my dog in my trash can.

Put her spare key on YOUR key ring. I've found that's the only safe place for it.

Locksmiths are such a ripoff. I can't talk ish about where she keeps the spare. My 2nd set of keys stays in the door of my truck. And the keys to my T-Type stay in the ashtray

Fortunately I have On-Star in the event of a lock out or theft.

The only cars I don't leave the keys in are my Impala's

It would have been cheaper to run to the dealer to have a key cut by the vin. Probably like $10 instead of $150

you mean you don't keep a completely separate spare set somewhere else?

Sounds like the wife's not the only problem here.

Tell me about it. Probably the most overpaid occupation.

OP, I would have been soooooooo pissed.

Also, lol@ having to warm the car up when it's 50 degrees out. WTF? I walked to work with no jacket today.

This wasn't a honda, was it? I've found it impossible to lock keys in my Civic, Accord, and CRV while running.

For $150, you can buy her a remote starter.

LOL, sometimes you just can't reason with them. We have spares inside the house to prevent this kind of thing form happening.

And I'm with Arch on the notion of keeping a copy for her car on your keyring.

Hah, Matthew, I remember when Zach bought the old red EG from you guys and Mikey used your car key to start and drive it. Needless to say, it wasn't one of your brother's finest moments in life.

Hahahaha.
