I haven't been feeling 100% lately either, well for the past week.. Throat started hurting, now comes the stuffy nose, and head pressure. Sucks because with all of this shit going around now everyones so cautious and get alarmed when they get sick. I always wash my hands, clean off gym equipment before and after I use it ETC; wish everyone else around me would do the same!

IDK if it was swine flu, but I was pretty fvcked up a couple weeks ago. Had a 101-103 degree fever for 2 1/2 days, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, fatigue, cough, and a little bit of nausea. Overall I felt shitty for 5 or 6 days but I just hung in there and let it pass. I just took some Tylenol for the fever. It felt the same as the regular flu I got a few years ago. I'm just glad I got it out of the way and don't have to worry about it for a while, it wasn't that bad anyway.

It's not deadly I don't think, they were just afraid it could mutate into something that people don't have immunity to. No big deal if you get it. I think I got it a few months ago, and then everybody in my area started getting it a month/few weeks ago and I didn't get anything.

Just out of curiosity, how would deep breathing exercises prevent fluid build up in the lungs? I have no medical knowledge, so enlighten me!

I'm going through it right now. Two days ago I felt totaly fine. Yesterday I woke up to go to work and felt a little weird, nothing major. Once I got to work I knew I had a fever which I thought was weird as well because I never get fevers. My hips, knees, back and neck were really sore too.
So I go home, drink some NeoCitran and pass out soon after. This was at about 8:30 in the morning. Well I wake up at about 4 in the afternoon and I was burning up badly. Then the puking started. I puked until 1:30 this morning and it was the most violent puking I have ever gone through. The last couple times I puked though I felt wonderful after for some reason. I didnt have the pressure in my stomach which I think was making me puke. I couldn't drink anything, I tried to take Tylenol and Gravol to help me but I would just puke it up right after....tasted like oranges ![]() I woke up today at 9:30am and I feel somewhat okay. I feel like I have a bad cold. Sinuses stuffed up, headache and I feel drained. I was told that if my feaver comes back and I start throwing up again that I hvae to go to the hospital and get a shot to help kick this. I was close to going yesterday lol. So if anyone is having these types of symptoms, especially feaver and puking, get ready for a shitty night. Cliffs - Pig flu sucks donkey balls.

thank you! i've been trying to tell everybody! it's nothing more than a flu strain we aren't used to yet, and it's LESS deadly than the regular flu. ****ing govt and media are blowing this shit way out of proportion.

Please stop spreading BS information. I wouldn't say that its "LESS" deadly... maybe as deadly or possibly slightly more.

Nope, it poses the same risks as any other influenza strain. This just settles into the respiratory system more.
And can97sh, did you get tested? Like they drew a blood sample and sent it away tested?

i finally got it about 2 weeks ago..started off with my wife, then my oldest son...me, then my youngest...
symptoms...pretty much like the flu but just hits alot faster...occasional nausea that eventually causes you to vomit... one odd thing my son and i went through was sensitivity to light...my eyes/head hurt with just the TV on...so we sat in the dark most of the time and slept it off... i started feeling weird and weak at about 12ish...then went to work around 230 and it was full blown around 4..i went home planning to go to the doctors in the morning but couldnt hang and had a friend take me to urgent care... the trick is to get them to write you RX for tamiflu...my whole family took that medication and it broke my fever in 2 days...a friend of mine caught it down the street and the doctors would NOT give her tamiflu and her fever ran for about 5-6 days... they tested my wife and my older child for it...they came back positive...my youngest son and i werent even tested... *did some research and its not the H1N1 thats actually killing people like the media says...once you get the H1N1 its the after effects that can lead to other infections such as respiratory related crap and most of the cases were pnumonia (however you spell it) *i also heard on the news that in most cases getting the H1N1 vaccine actually helped spread it around even more...once taken you can have the virus dormant for about 10 days...

I can really feel the flu in my lungs today as well. They feel pretty sore from coughing. No flem at all, just a harsh dry cough. My chest could be sore from puking yesterday too though, it's hard to tell.

I had something of the sort all yesterday.
Symptoms: Zero appetite Aches and pains of the joints Nausea I did sleep for most of the day and woke up intermittenlty to hug the porcelain and try to get something up, but I must have weak throat muscles, because I just kept dry heaving...haven't puked since 4th grade..(and I've been plenty drunk to do it too) My salivary glands were going crazy too. I could open my mouth over the toilet and saliva would basically just stream out. I never took my temperature, but I know I had a fever because I could never get warm while I was sleeping and everything felt cold to the touch.. Today I just have zero appetite after taking some ibuprofen. I even went golfing for 9 holes and felt fine the whole time. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. Ok. Here goes.
IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED THEN DON'T GO AROUND SAYING YOU HAVE H1N1!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The symptoms between that and every other strain of influenza are the same. It takes a normal healthy adult 4-7 days to get over influenza without medication. By saying you have H1N1 you are only adding to the mass hysteria caused by the media. You had the flu, you got over it. Keep a watch on your lungs and temp. Anything over 100 degree's for more then 24 hours you should be seeing a doctor.
