Default Spark plugs + Wires?

I got a 03' TL Type-S with 73k miles.

I keep reading about tranny problems, but my car shifts great. I do not use the SS alot less though... don't want to create a tranny problem, lol.

I bought my car at 50k and I don't know if the spark plug + wire has ever been changed.

Should I change the spark plugs? What about the wires? Anybody know if you're suppose to change spark plug wires with every spark plug replacement?

Thanks!

The factory wires almost never fail. (sure you don't have coil on plug?) Honda doesn't recommend changing the spark plugs until timing belt time (105K)

Thanks, that helps alot.

My goal is to get better gas mileage. Im currently at 22mpg, my car is bone stock. Would a intake help? I'm considering an AEM intake I see online for $250.

If you're getting real world 22mpg avg you're doing pretty good. I think replacing your right foot with a lightweight model would get better results than a intake would. How long would it take for you to make up 250$ spent on that intake IF it made a difference?

LOL... Good point. I get a little anxious about intakes just because I like the sound, but it'll probably make me drive "faster" and defeat the purpose.

get ur foot out of the throttle.....I average 25 with an 02 cls (heaver than a TL) Car is DIS so there are no plug wires just a coil on top of each plug. Plugs are not due til 105K.

I never go above 3K on the tach
