Oh, so a presonal friend of STEVE's. Well, this is a PUBLIC FORUM and the people have a voice. You put something out there, you drop the ball. So it's people like you that can STFU.

And yeah, the seller has the car, but with a signed/transferred title the law is on the buyers side 100%. You think they care about circumstance? They are going to see a title in the buyer's name, and a car matching that title.

So, anyway, I'm done. I'm not the buyer or seller. All I can say is this; someone want to come pick up my Prelude, they will be in my face with cash. That's all to it.

Have fun.

Alright simmer down everyone. Rude Awakening.....I'm glad to see that there are those who see my side of the story. I'm certainly not over-reacting to this type of transaction.

Steve is right about a little trust from both parties. And that is what this has come down to. It's not about who knows who, who has more internet friend/vouches, or who has been to more events than others. All of those things mean squat to me. In a real scam, I know for a fact that none of the vouches or internet friends will step up to pay for my loss.

In theory, both parties can screw each other. However, I certainly hope that isn't going to be the case. From my last few conversations, emails, and IMs with Steve....I have a good feeling about the end result.

Steve, this has never been anything about degrading your character or honesty. I am meerely stating the possible scenarios of what can transpire from transactions such as this one we are going forward with. Keep in mind that you offered to send me those documents.....I didn't ask for them originally until you offered. I must say that it was a nice gesture of you to send those documents to me. I'll give you props for that.

Anyhow, NUFF said.....this transaction is going down this week. I'm looking forward to finally getting this caR sold to a righful owner. Steve did get a good deal. Could've been anyone's car as I've had it on the market since August.

I will vouch for Steve, not because he's my internet-buddy or something of the like...but because HE BOUGHT MY R (98-0563). Transaction went perfectly smooth. Steve is a legit dude.

LOL. Looks like RudeAwakening has that class on his current schedule. His posts on a few other current threads are also blatant trolling material.

The little bit of rust will be handled accordingly shortly after I get it. She will be brought back to a minty state under my watch.

Going off only pictures my body guy said probably 1500-2000. So that equates to getting a mint 01 ITR for 9500-10000, I can live with that. The rear brace underneath is a $70 dealership part and beyond that the rest is fine, he's going to rust proof it all anyway.

Under the hood, replace some of the rusted brackets/bolts too so they don't spread into the sheetmetal.

Not a bad idea sir. I was probably going to attack some of it with the wirebrush/rustproofer method.

Good meeting you today itrSteez! Good luck with the restore plans. Glad the Honda dealership was able to remove the front plates for you. Glad to see the R is going to a good home. Keep her safe.

Definitely, Probably won't create a thread on this particular site because of the high density of weirdos in here now but I will at the other one (wink wink)

And I would like to thank rude awakening for flexing his troll skills.

Wow..lots of trust issues lol. I don't see a problem here at all. itrSteez did send a check 4 days prior to pick up. Which is a perfect idea. and crumbsnatcher has no need to worry. You have an open forum that stats what you guys talked about. Thats 1 way of proof is itrSteez decided to "scam" you, which by reading this, I can see he has no intentions of doing. I work at a dealership, and believe it or not, we sell cars over the internet to people all the time.

itrSteez sent TONS of information. We don't even get half of that. Just a bank statement, proof of income, credit approval and a call from the bank usually does it for us. I am most definitely sure, there will be a post sooner or later stating "TRANSACTION WENT SMOOTHLY"

All in all good luck to both of your new cars ! I would definitely love to get a type r for 8.5k =(

Read post #67

Beyond the few little cosmetic issues this is by far the nicest ITR I've owned to date. For whatever reason I just feels very rock solid and not as loose as the other two, don't ask me how to describe it because I have no idea. Even my girlfriend noticed it right off the bat.

The corrosion covers 3 different body panels, both rear quarters, hatch, hood, one fender. And all of the wheels are pretty much a wash so with all of that said picking it up for 8k was fair. I'm sure the repairs will be double what I had originally expected.

probably hasn't been wrecked hard or had the rack messed with. couple that with bushings in good shape and you have a responsive car.

Considering the rust issues he just described, the suspension would be the first thing I look at on that car. 100K miles the bushings start to show wear and age, and WI winters and road salt expedite that a lot.
