Icon2 WWHTD: ZX-6R

Ok, I have a guy locally wanting to trade me a 2000 zx-6r for my 2003 400ex,my quad needs a good bit of tlc but it runs perfect, The guy who owns the bike says the bike is in mint cond.,But it isnt getting fire, this is what he sent me..

i put a new motor in it, new cdi box, new junction box, new stator, new battery, new ignition, and more, the only thing in the firing system i haven't changed is the pick up switch on the side of the motor. But i have alot of extra parts. Bike has plenty of compression, and tranny and all is fine.

I dont know a whole hell of alot about bikes, So my question's to H-T are Does it sound like a easy fix? What do you think it would be? Would you do the trade?

I really want a sport bike, But not if im just going to stare at it everyday wishing i was riding because i cant figure out whats wrong with it.

Unless I knew what the problem with the bike really was, I probably wouldn't touch it. Find someone to buy your EX, then buy a bike with a good-running motor. Don't be left with someone else's half-finished project bike.

If the guy really did a full motor swap and installed all those parts...sounds like he probably shouldn't have. WALK AWAY.

I'd rather have an ugly bike that runs tits than a bike that looks great but won't even start.

No way I would even consider a trade like that.
