Imagine the load of crap Jeremy give me.... My kids are a few years ahead of you.

Just keep her off the pole and everything else will fall into place....

I can come up Saturday.

HAHA. Trust me i would much rather be at the challenge, but BW is an hour and fifteen minutes further each way, and i can't get anyone to go with me as of right now.

I have to be in redondo beach before 5pm too. I'm trying to figure it all out.
plus i'm poor and shouldn't spend the money to drive anywhere....

if i can make it i will be there first thing in the morning and taking off early.

I just got back one day Saturday and it was intense I totally owned Magic Mountain turn. Thanks to all Honda Challenge guys for answering all my questions etc. Did you guys see the blue turbo charged civic coupe flip in HPDE 1 and 2 man that stuff should not happen in our class I saw the guy after he hurt his wrist and his car is gone and the instructor was good from what I heard.
Hey Paul thanks and did you see me behind you for a second in HPDE 3 and 4 my instructor took my car and me to show me how fast the Honda Fit was. See you guys next month.

I was on track when the guy in the blue civic flipped. I'm glad to hear he and the instructor was okay.

I was coming out of Grapevine when I saw a HUGE plume of dust near Sunset. When I got to the sweeper the corner worker was waving the yellow like crazy. I didn't see a red flag, but everyone was stopped on the track. At that point I don't think the two guys were out of the car yet. The tow truck was there with a small crane pulling the car back up on it's side. At that point the safety car came out and let us back into the pits.

No roll bar..no harness

The 06 si was completely destroyed not one straight body panel. It took 45 mins to cut the passenger from the car. Totally crazy crash...he rolled it 8 times. They are lucky to be alive

I thought that was you Charles....

The SI had no safety equipment in it at all. I also understand it was turbo'd (correct me if im wrong)
The incident occured just coming out of the Esses. From the people who i talked (track atttendants) they said he went two wheels off coming out of the esses and tried to come back on track.

Considering the condition of the car that i saw being loaded on the flatbed and the fact they cut the car to get people out... It could of had a different outcome.
Very lucky people to come out with bumps and bruises.

Great Weekend for the "Old fella"! Really nice to have our friends from Utah Attend...(Spanked their asses for a change!) Brian Z, Nice to put a face to the name. That car of yours is going to be a big threat in H2 Next season!
My friend Ken Adelberg who now hates my guts for sure! I was having so much fun racing with you... Did you not realize that Integras come in variable widths? I blame it on the Meth fumes from Renans car... They were making me dizzzy. Sorry about the electrical problems Justin... I developed a missfire after five laps on sundays race that got worse and worse, We had the car handling so well, If it had not been for the missfire I'm sure I could have beaten Renans 1.59.9! Next time...? Oh well back to the Lab...
Oh by the way you guys. Watch out for Paul Garcia next season. He has a new scheme... He comes to your pit at night bearing Coolers full of Beer, leaves it there and allows you and your crew to drink themselves into oblivion, then he'll kick your ass on the track the next day! Where is all this cheating going to end?

Kiwi

Hee hee hee....The scheme worked great! (cheating on a whole different level)
Jeff did also catch me filling my tank with 110 octane too.
It was great knocking back a few with your crew..(Happy Birthday Jeff)
I knew a little alcohol would reveal some secrets to car set up etc. Thanks to your crew and you Jeff the last session I was actually chasing cars down, and passing.
My shock set up was off, as well as the tire inflation.
The changes worked superb.
After my first experience with Magic Mountain (going off the back side) me and the turn became great friends.
I have to say its now one of my favorite parts of the track.
Thanks to Renan for his insight. I will be reading my butt off and picking your brain often.
It was nice to meet all the rest of the So Cal crew bunny club, jw and the transplantees from Utah... a really bunch of good guys. Dave from San Carlos great meeting you and I look forward to more running together.
Thanks again to Brian Z with out his help, and reassurance I would still be in the garage, and not at the track.
I'll see what the cameras picked up later this week, maybe post up something.
The family and I are wiped out from the weekend.
I'll stop for now i sound like i am accepting an academy award. blaaaa blaaaa blaaaa

OH MY!!! Man, what a great weekend.... Sorry for those who had car trouble. But they are race cars and it happens.

Really enjoyed all the new commers. Nor. Cal guys., Utah guys. Too bad our local Honda Challenge field was pretty light. Would have been really awesome to have Manny, Ryan, the Landry Bros., Rossi, Ben Tang, Jeremy, Tom Paule and more in the mix.

Oh Kiwi, where do I start.... I think you have a blindness for yellow flags. No reference to anything at the nationals. I guess that is what is needed for the birthday boy to catch up to his old car. Once you got by, I did enjoy the "leave your foot on the floor and steer the Acura "Double Wide" around the track. I think I counted about 4 times over Majic Mountain where I was thinking you were gonna launch sideways. I kept a safe distance since you have been know to go off, re-enter, go off, re-enter, go off..... Well, that has got to be the widest hardest braking car I have ever raced. What happened on the start? Was Eric singing the Happy Birthday song?

Andy, awesome photos!!!!

Brian Z, now really.... You think we would let a guy from N. Cal. beat us? Seriously?

Renan and Brain Kono- Afterhours.... Thanks for all the hard work on the car and support. It was another Renan and Bunny Club domination for H2! Renan gave us all the "what for" again. Congrats on a new lap record in qualifying on Sunday. So..., now can we put the parts that your stole back on my car?

Where do begin! what a great weekend!!! It was really fun seeing the guys from Utah again ( especially my favorite car - the camo paint with the orange wheels) and getting to put some faces to names. It was such a great vibe this weekend ,, no whining no drama ,, just great racing and great fun. Great to finally meet you Brian Z, and you too Dirty19. I wish you guys would come down more often. As well we need to come to thunderhill !!

Kiwi,,, Its Ethenol,,not Methanol,,,be careful someone will say im cheating I didnt know it was your birthday?!?!?!!? You may be getting older but not slower!! As usual it was great to hang around you ,and race with you. Sorry I didnt get to chase you down on Sunday!! And by the way it was a 159.3 And thanks to Eric for helping with my trans. You guys are amazing, Eric was sick as a dog and I call him at dinner on Friday night at 8pm to ask him to help take my trans out while I drive to LA to pick up parts,,,,around 9:30 i get a call " hey your trans is out , Brian and I are waiting on you to come back " Frikin amazing .

Kenny , your my Barricello, but your getting too close. We may have to Nelson Piquet you !! Seriously Im glad we are getting your car dialed. Putting the passenger seat in it was the best thing you could do. You and Manny picked up this front wheel drive thing a lot faster than I did. Being able to sit in the passenger seat and watch really helps! We will do that next time with Greg.

And as usual thanks to Brian Kono of Afterhours Automotive. We were testing some prototype clutches for the honda challenge cars, as well as some different configurations on the plate diff It required soooo much work, but the car was handling and running better than ever. Thanks my friend, for 2 years I have been trying to get a lap time below 2 minutes on this track configuration in an H2 car ( just a personal thing ), and with your chassis and diff tuning I finally did ! Who says sideways isnt fast!!
