They won't last a whole day on track. That price is pretty ridiculously low and they might be ok for a street pad, but I'd look for something else in a track pad.
...Assuming you're looking for a track pad, since you didn't specify. |

Its kind of hard to pick what pad you would need since you don't specify your car, what kind of racing you will be doing. Autocross you want pads that warm up a little faster. Road racing you want pads that have a higher heat range.
I'd suggest Hawk HP+ OR HpS Many may disagree, but i think those are fine pads.

Just track day stuff. Nothing serious. I just figured $15 a set for upgraded pads was stupid cheap.

I had them on my 00 Civic Si for a track day weekend at VIR. They will work for your 1st lap and then not
They are fine for autocross as I had them on my 91 Civic Si when I won NE Divisionals, PA States and the Valvoline Cup in STS (back in 2005).For track days just go with the Hawk HP+ pads.

This is why not to try them for a track pad
![]() And Dil man, I hate to disagree, but I faded the shit out of HPS pads in less than one session. I would not recommend them to anyone as a track pad. |

HPS squealled alot for me on my 00 civic Si and dusted pretty bad too. For street just go with AEM pad. Track I would stay with HP+.
Those AEMs on my Civic were scary after that 1st lap. I had to brake WAY early, also didn't help I didn't use a higher grade brake fluid. But those pads were almost new when I installed them, they were toast when I got home ![]() They were a great street pad. Not much dusting and stopped when cold.

Would HPS have the cold bite for autox? I know i dont want the HP+ but I am still a bit unsure as far as actual numbers are concerned reguarding the temp. ranges...

Your engines are pretty similar, I think (I know he also has a stock SOHC), so that would make sense.

The aem pads are made by oem supplier nissin. I have tried them and they are barely an upgrade.

have them on my 99si and yes they do fade quickly with sustained hard driving, but for daily driving, i love them. less dust than oem, no squeaks. where are you getting them for $15 a pair?
