its not like fits have high hp motors that thieves want so they can swap them in their nasty rusted out cars..I don't worry about my fit getting taken, more like...worried about shopping carts in parking lots. lol

The only reason a fit would be broken into is for your personal items or take your Rotas.

Out in Chicago I have read a few stories recently where thieves have gotten so desperate for "Sweet OEM Honda Wheels" (like SI's, GSR Blades, LS Meshies, GSR Fat fives) that they have begun to steal the OEM Fit Sport wheels.
I'm not sure if this is happening everywhere in the US, but I have read a few stories about it in Chicago. I have even seen a few $250 sets of 08 Fit Sport wheels with low mileage original tires so... who knows. As for me...I usually worry more about shopping cart dings and idiot drivers more than theft with my 08 Fit Sport. It doesnt have anything that theives can easily swap into their cars (obviously except our wheels) |

IMO the stock 09 fit sport wheels are fugly. When I got my Fit I told the dealer to take them things off and just give me the credit but they would not do it...lol Would have love a set of Silver slips.
Anyways with a Fit you should not worry about anything cause like everyone have said our cars don't have a DOHC engine or anything of value unless of cause your Fit happens to have a K now that is a different story. The only thing that is of value, well slight value in my fit is the GPS which costs me $100 but you can take the GPS off and just hide it in the glove box when not in use. Other then that I think it''s pretty damn safe right now. Don't let other factors detour you from getting what you want, if it will happen then it will happen cause that is life so go get your Fit and enjoy it like we are now. GL

True up to a point. But they will find you. I used to live in a 500k+ neighborhood, and a HT member used to live near me. His supercharged Civic (and the works) was stolen from his driveway. He was a night owl. His daughter came home at 3am. Car gone next morning. No one heard a thing. The car was never seen again. |
