Jason-Looking at the rule book and I not know squat about 8 cylinder mods, what will the revised rules do to the all-motor class for the fords?
I mean they are allowed to run slicks now and I know you say they wont do much, but with the revised mods how much faster are the cars now?
This is a simple question, not a bash on the rules.
Thanks
Marc P

No problem Marc...
The new rules for them were tweaked to get a few more good cars down into the low 11s. There are very few purpose built NMRA Factory Stock cars out there like Tommys and Justins (by the way Factory Stock, doesnt mean Factory Stock at all, hahah). The new rules should help get some more street cars into the 11s and 12s. Believe it or not most of the pushrod Fords with stock cams, and heads only run 13s and 14s. Cars like Tommys and Justins are one in a thousand.
Most all of the Hondas in All-Motor Street have cams, port work, high compression, etc.. We are just trying to help out some of the other Fords make it a closer race.

No, they are not going to change their whole tranny, gear, and most important motor combination. Plus they would have to add weight to their car to do so. Plus their cars wont benefit from a slick, no more than all motor Hondas wouldnt benefit from 26" slicks. They just dont have the power to need a slick because their cars work so good on Radials. The reason to allow a slick is for the street guys that dont have killer chassis and they need the slick.

This is probably gonna be my last post on ht for a while, so im making it a good one w/ an early prediction....
I will set a new record for H series in allmotor street.
only question is, will it be an 8x. or closer to a .5x
see everyone there
