Default rebuilding head with bent valve

Heres the deal guys

B16a Motor....
Rod broke, and bent #3 intake and Exhaust Valve.
Just 2 of them

So i replaced them both from a spare set.

Now, if i pour water in the Combustion Chamber, Water Leaks out the Exhaust and intake port.

Now the valve springs are not installed as yet...

I would like to hear some opinions.

Thanks

Did you check to see if the seat was damaged? Also, did you lap the valves?

Check out this video.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/T...w-to_80862.htm

Around time 3.20.

Lap in the valves then leak check with water again. If it still leaks then sometimes a heat cycle is enough to get the valve to seal up. If the leak test numbers aren't good then time for a valve job.

great video

i lapped the intake valve, BUT couldnt do the exhaust, there is too much carbon for the valve stick to 'stick' to the Exhaust valve.

Also spend 4 hours with purple blaster and a toothbrush trying to remove carbon out the ports.
Got any tips for me?
i still got some carbon in there

You are going to have to get the used valves reground as they are seated to the other head and get the seats retouched also if I were you.
