I think you've noted the most important thing that people don't do (that the site used to do automatically), and that's to sort the results by relevancy and not the default, "Last Posting Date" which is utterly ridiculous and will return the same thread over and over again.
There is another way that you can quickly and effectively search HT and find very specific results and that's with google. If you wanted to search for VX rear diffuser part number, you can type exactly this in google: vx rear diffuser site:honda-tech.com The key is obviously in red and can be used for any site. It just happens to be very useful when searching this site when you want to search very specific terms. If you wanted to find something where someone had typed exactly VX rear diffuser, you can put some quotes around the term when searching; "vx rear diffuser" site:honda-tech.com Google will only return results that contain exactly that phrase. These techniques in conjunction with Jimmy's for this site can make it incredibly easy to find what you're looking for. This will help you get your answers quickly and save face by not having 15 people jump down your throat for not searching for something that comes up often.

I accept with vsharma:The key is obviously in red and can be used for any site. It just happens to be very useful when searching this site when you want to search very specific terms.
