Want to tint headlights and tail lights.. need input
I'm going to buy that VHT night shade spray and do my tail lights and headlights. I really like how it looks and have heard great things about it.
My question is, if I were to tint my headlights, how much dimmer would my lighting appear? I dont want to not be able to see because of it.. but I see the g35 guys doing it all the TIME?
Matt

it will reduce visibility...not to mention illegal.
i know it might sound weird...but i had a friend install a dark color panty hose around his accord tailights. you could not tell at all what they were and it appeared dark and allowed great visibility. only issue is sometimes they would get dusty but you could just "snap" them and the dust would disappear. lol

Well the faq didnt exactly answer the question I was asking. I was asking if you can still see if I night shaded my headlights, and instead I got a response on how to tint the inside plastic of the head lamp assembly.
Not that I'm complaining because its a neat idea.
But at any rate, you should be happy your getting any traffic in here right now :p

Re: Want to tint headlights and tail lights.. need input
well i tinted my friends xrunner headlights and the bad thing was it does reduce a lot of visablilaty if u go to dark so go 1 spray max or 2light sprays as for the back go around 3 or 4 sprays light...and if u have projector headlights in the front it wont be a good idea to spray that stuff on because it can make your headlight have bubbles on the outside because of all the heat thats why wehad to throw away a $300 pair of projectors hope i gave u an idea

If your all good and done with stroking Matt.
Last i checked he had a female.
every time time i log in here there's someone swinging on his undercarriage, giving someone asking a question a hard time and filling the pages with more unrelated non technical web trash. FFSSTFU.
Now then. Here is a link to lamin-x.com
http://www.lamin-x.com/Honda-Civic-0...ers-p/h010.htm
when i bought mine they had charts and let you know how much light it would reduce coming through.browse around there and you might see something you like. I had the gun smoke on mine and it just seemed to change the color of the light outside the beam. i also had ultra white headlight bulbs. So check that out it might be what your looking for. i recommend them.

I advise you do not use the spray tint. It's a hassle. Not to mention that if you get drips or runs in it, then you have to sand and buff it out. Use Lamin-x it's way easier. And if you decide that you don't like it anymore, you can just peel it off.

Tinted tail lights and head lights OR euro tail lights and projector headlamps?
Which is it!
If I get the euro headlamps and tail lights, they will be black or mostly black..
Input and opinions
