Peakboost ramhorn turbo kit (t3/t4 57trim)
Apexi N1 catback exhaust (tiny piping)
b16 with JE 9:1 pistons and SCAT rods
Stock b16 head and cams, Blox IM
93 Octane

Made 375whp/270tq holding 18psi on a Dynapack tuned by Matt at Monkeywrench racing.
I've been down the track in 12.5@123mph on street tires. The one time I ran on slicks, I had a crack in the turbo mani but still went 11.79@120mph. It's my daily driver. I've been running daily for over a year at this boost level. The only thing I had to change was a head gasket because I never had the head machined properly for a Cometic MLS gasket when I first had the engine put together.

P.S. It'll be back on the dyno in a few weeks with a Thermal R&D 3" catback.

just read through the thread , just wondered what sort of AFR's people are running with pump gas at higher boost ? .

im running a b18c, 10psi making 323whp , tuned it my self and run 11.5 - 11.7 ish in boost.
i know it should be 12:1 but was reading somewhere the extra fuel will keep things cooler , anyone else ?.

357whp at 19psi, on F22 SOHC, 94 octane pump (Canada!)

More worried about my stock sleeves, bored 0.5mm over :p

Actually going for 430whp on the dyno, prolly never use that power tho just wanna hit it on the dyno :p but planning to run 400whp every day! Car is DD

To the guy above, AFR is 11.4-11.7 full boost, sometimes i even see 10.9 in lower boost, stay under 11.8 better safe than sorry!

I wonder if it has a lot to do with customers pushing tuners for more power? Most of the tuners I speak to will only do 450whp on pump gas just to make sure that their customers have very reliable pump gas cars. Almost all the guys I know making 500whp on pump gas lose their headgaskets amongst other issues.....

This is typically the case with most tuners, because they understand what the limits of combustion with "pump" fuels, regardless of turbocharger size. Professionals like to make power, but also don't want the push the engine past certain points given the injectors and fuel requested by the owner. There is no point in making more than these levels without serious risk to the engine. Sure, there are those in K-series and B-series who have higher levels (given the dyno type) on gas station fuels, but there is an inherent increased risk of detonation and even engine failure after the car leaves the dyno. (Having power at that level for 5 months with "no problems" doesn't mean that failure still can't occur within the near future).
