This will be embarrasing......it's a garage door trim piece from home depot
$10 DIY. I paid more like $26 because I tried to do it 2 different ways to find the best look for the oem gen 1 bumper, and I had to buy 2 bags of it for trial and error and testing. It comes in a 9 ft rool, or 16. I got 1 bag of each, and have plenty left to do a second vehicle.Someone else in here did it as well a few days before me, BUT it was on the edm bumper, so it wasnt as much of a chore as mine was. Flatter bumper, and straighter. |

its called real time 4wd.. i think it automatically shift to 4wd when the front wheel slips.. and from what ive observed, its 4wd on the 1st gear...??!! can anyone confirm this? if its really like that, then you got an advantage on take off on the strip lane...

I've driven behind a RealTime 4WD CRV, the rear axles look like straws, unless upgraded they'd probably snap. I bet the transfer case is pretty weak too. Most of that 4WD stuff (as opposed to true AWD) requires slippage and slow speeds to stay together.

Very nice CRV, I love it! So what did you use to paint the front bumper?

ah, but did you have to trim it back thinner? I had to trim the part that was double sided tapped and screwed in almost completely off to get it to fit on that tiny lip.

it's the same rear end as the old civic wagons, which are modified and even drifted, but thats neither here nor there. My crv was good for daily driving turbo 12 sec with no problems. The fronts slip and then by pressure, purely mechanical, the rear than goes. It worked great on my car when inline pro drag raced it for years.

bumper black paint, in the green spray can from autozone. I used a differnt bumper trim paint from advanced and it doesnt seem tostay as well, so the last painting I switched back. I used this for years on my other car for the windshiel wiper cowl, wiper arms, and inner fender/liners.

http://www.hondacivicwagon.com/bb/vi...php?f=7&t=5844 "Well I now have renewed faith in the RT4WD Wagovan transfer case. I opened up the CRV transfer case that I have here, and the gears are the same size. If Braile Auto can drift a Teg without breaking the transfer case, I think I'll be fine with autocrossing my wagon with the Wagon transfer case." |

Need more pics of new stuff......
ordered from HandA parts, and got my order in on time. Evertything is great. The gas cap holder had clips on it? So I had to grind them off and double side tape it to the gas door. the rear trunk liner had white stuff all over it, prob to keep it from not getting messed up, so i had to wash that off and scrub it. The steering wheel cover is ok. Not as perfect a fit or as good a quality as the oem honda ones are, but it's not available anymore, so you do what you can. Touch up paint is awsome, but the brush is the only thing worth using, not the pen side ![]() All in all great stuff and good timing on shipping and price was great with the rear trunk liner on discount! |

havent picked what I want to get yet honestly. Might get honda centre caps for these wheels to make them look better for now. But I havent figured out the best looking wheels for this coulor and body type.
I have been motivated by the valve cover thread, and I will be redoing my valve cover and heat shield on the exaust manifold again. This time I will do primer and clear instead of just paint ![]() Thinking of doing silver and black on the valve cover, not sure yet. |
