help please motor bogging
i have a 96 accord automatic sedan and when im stopped at a light my motor boggs while in D also whle driving it boggs, if i try sometimes to go from stopped to accelerate it will cut out and die. running very rich
checked the ignition
new dizzy
the ecu doesnt seem to have any burn spots
please help cant think of anything else other than maybe a new ecu

how do u know its running rich? check sensors out and clean the map sensor first. check intake is not completely clogged.

ur o2 sensors are probably shot. when their bad the car will go into safe mode and dump a ton of fuel. i would also check spark plugs, wires, fuel filter.

yeah? my car is very gutless and i did plugs wires cap rotor cleaned iac cleaned fitv cleaned tb and adjusted valves and it ran good for a while now its boggy again

valves wont make a difference that that much at least, clean the sensors again and see if it gets better again (sensor problem if yes) also when the last time fuel filter has been replaced and fuel injector cleaner been added to your fuel?

vacuum leak test, you can use intake system cleaner to spray on your vacumm lines and by the throttle body, if you hear a difference when you spray in theose areas you have a leak, or just hookup a cheapo vacuum tester thats the easiest.
