Gumball 3000 stages 1-3 LOTS OF PICS!!
Okay so here's the story, about 2 weeks ago my friend Erik say's that he's going to need a little extra help putting stickers on about 120 cars for the Gumball 3000. of course i didn't even have to think twice about it. Little did i know what the next week would turn into.....
Monday- Thursday
i got to his shop Spin imaging monday afternoon to find a chrome Lamborghini that needed to be stripped, a gold Bugati Veyron a Dodge viper, as well as a few mercede's that were all getting full vinyl wraps,
full carbon wrapped Lamborghini. This thing turned out insane! so glad i got to be a part of this one.
a 1.5 million dollar Bugati that is wrapped gold/carbon
mercedes SLR mclaren
The Lambo that i've been working on. [soon to be wrapped in chrome]
flat black viper 711HP at the wheels
also for the people who came into town early they could come by the shop and have all the logo's put on early so they wouldn't have to wait around on friday.
jaguar
F430
800 horse power mustang
custom wood grain for the hood of the rolls royce phantom
before
and after
Friday
We brought all the sticker kits to a parking garage in Santa monica to finish all the other 100+ cars that needed graphics. we had a crew of about 15-20 people and it took us 14 hours to finish, but we did all the silver logo's on every car. i was to busy to take any pictures that day. but needless to say it was crazy and non stop all day and well into the night.
HERE IS WHERE THE STORY GETS FUN!
So friday night after we finish all the cars, Erik was given a sticker kit and invited to join in for the start of the rally. saturday morning we stickered up his car with the intensions to only do the start and then just going home........
once we got onto the freeway we decided to just go the D1 since it wasn't very far.
The start at the santa monica pier
This is the car we were in
this car belongs to Max, he's pretty much in charge of everything
you might remember Alex from such shows as pimp my ride... sorry dude, i had to make at least 1 joke this week
the crew from Raccoon uk. they made all the stickers and worked there asses off all week
The start is crazy! it makes you feel famous... pics, video, high fives, people throwing stuff into our car
driving to D1

Tosh townend and mike are following the rally in this M3. you guys have to make it to maimi
us on the big screen at D1
At this point we still didn't really plan on going to vegas, but as we were pulling out we were both handed VIP passes to the monster party at the hard rock hotel. so we pulled over made a few quick phone calls and we jumped on the freeway with only the clothes we were wearing.
this was the craziest drive to vegas ever, the red and white porsche says he hit 165mph the black Bugati said he hit about 180mph. cops were everywhere just waiting.
lots of people were pulled over doing about 140mph.
surprisingly though the cops were all pretty cool and brought everyones tickets down to under 100mph. one cop did slow traffic to about 50mph for about 10 miles though.
its weird, all Gumballers totally look out for each other they all have radios and inform other of cops, detours, etc. once your on the road everyone goes from total strangers to good friends.
once in vegas we got new shirts thats to the guys at Rogue Status and headed out for the night.
I got to meet a lot of great people. at the monster party 2 live crew and naughty by nature played. that was pretty awesome.
D1 to vegas
sorry mom
Sunday morning everyone was a little hung over and tired. but ready to head out again, first stop was the Hoover Dam. again as expected the drive was pretty crazy, photographers and video crews were posted up along the way, people were hanging out of cars, a helicopter was filming everything from above. and needless to say there some seriously high speeds.

Dennis rodman
Gretchen Rossi
these are the "tour cards" that give the address's of your next stop.
We ate lunch at the dam and decided that this would be our last stop, we said our goodbye's and started home, with all the sunday traffic it took a little over 6 hours to get back to LA.
i have a ton more pics but most are blurred since we were driving, big thanks to erik who brought me along, and to all the Gumballers who didn't mind us tagging along for a bit.
UPDATE
Here is what our tire looked like when we got home, and a few pics that have been found of the car we were in.
drive safe guys. hope everyone makes it to Miami without any problems.

i agree, but it's part of the rally, all cars must have those logo's. we actually had a strict template to work from. some cars were even sent back in to have stickers re-done.

it's pretty much something that rich people do because they can, and it's fun, they stay is fancy hotels, and have huge parties every night. it's super expensive to get into.. but i guess if you can afford then why not...
sorry the pics are kinda big, everything loaded up fine for me so i didn't think about it while posting.

It's always been a life goal/dream to take place in gumball, looks like you had a bunch of fun! My buddy went last year with his M5 but I couldn't pick up the bill for passenger :p (7,500) went to the WSOP instead If you include all the exclusive parties, networking, etc it easily pay itself.
Great pics considering all the chaos you went through, that is some serious sticker work more than any other year I without a doubt!
Let's hear the party stories from vegas :D

Vegas was a pretty wild night, i was at the monster party at the hard rock, 2 live crew and naughty by nature played. i never thought i would be able to say that i've seen them live. i met phil from deadliest catch, since supercross and the fight were the same night, everywhere you looked was someone i recognized and old friends were in town too witch made it even better.
i hung out with Gretchen Rossi from "real housewives of OC" she's pretty damn cool if you ask me.
the last week is going to stay with me for a long time.
