Default I need help on how to change the Brake Lights/Interlock Solenoid.

I have no brake lights, and the car won't shift out of park. All fuses are good. I have the part but cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the old one. I have a 1997 Honda Accord SE 4 banger automatic 4 door.

Pretend you are telling this to a 9 year old if you explain the procedure or better yet, pictures. lol

Thanks in advance for any help.

if you since you checked the fuses and all is well and no brake lights and no interlock action.
i would also suspect the brake light switch.
look under the dash and at the brake pedal you will see a metal switch assy goldish in color and a 4 pin connector on it. make sure the rubber stop is not broken.push the brake pedal with your hand and watch the plunger come out and you will see the rubber stopper,if its their then you can remove the switch with a 12mm wrench their is a jam nut on the switch just loosen it.
i have step by step instructions for you
drop me a line.

I got it fixed thanks to you man. It was rather easy, the hardest part was waiting for the rain to stop so I could go and change it outside. Just a plug and play piece is all it was and my cars running like a champ now. Thanks a ton! Kudos to you.
