Re: HID Special $60 Shipped for Honda-Tech members
Hey I finally got these things working. Is this normal?
http://i27.tinypic.com/svrx94.jpg

In the pics, the left bulb seems bluer than the right. The right appears to be exactly 6K completely white with a very tiny hint of blue. The left seems to be more like 7k with a little heavier shade of blue. It is a not because of the camera. I can clearly notice the difference in person. Is it possible that I was sent the wrong bulb?

Hi zxpher1,
Sorry for the inconvenience but please allow 2-3 days of running them about 30mins to an hour for the correct color to kick in, otherwise, please double check the small white tag on the bulb and see if our warehouse mistakenly shipped two different color temperatures to you.
This rarely happens, but some of our bulbs the chemicals in the bulbs were not heated up enough during testing and once after a few hours of lighting them, they will turn to the correct color. If in any case this still occurs after 2-3 nights of at least 30-1 hr of leaving the bulbs on. We will exchange the bulb for you.
Please let me know your Order # so we know which is the correct bulb color of your purchase. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: HID Special $60 Shipped for Honda-Tech members
Here is an example of our HID installed in a Halogen housing, the car is a 2000 Infiniti I30. The beam pattern is clean and does not scatter like other hid kits, and the projection area of visibility is similar just brighter so you can see better. Thanks~
P.S. beam may vary slightly upon different vehicles such as (YR make model and height, for examples for trucks or SUVs, the cutoff may be higher)

Re: HID Special $60 Shipped for Honda-Tech members
Just a suggestion but perhaps you could start a list of those vehicles that are known to have "polarity issues"? Would save a lot of time and frustration up front. I bought a set a while ago for a 96 Civic EX and had the issue with only the high-beams working. Since then I haven't had the time to attempt the "fix" so I can't say that it works.

Re: HID Special $60 Shipped for Honda-Tech members
Hi,
Have you tried calling in to our technician, he can walk you through the polarity setting setup on the phone and usually it's fixed in 5 mins.
We do have a list that requires polarity reverse, but the setting are different for all these vehicles so even if I list them, some can just plug in and it's fine, yet other's may need to reverse, therefore it's a case by case issue.
But here are some cars that "may" need polarity reverses.
1.) Dodge
2.) Chrysler
3.) Chevrolet
4.) Toyota
5.) GMC
6.) Scion
7.) Acura
8.) Some Hondas
Thank you for your understanding~

Re: HID Special $60 Shipped for Honda-Tech members
Thanks. It's not a matter of not knowing how to fix the polarity. It's the time I have available to me. No call to a tech needed yet. Perhaps I can get this done to tomorrow and post up pics.
As for your list I was looking for something more in depth. Like for instance.
8)Hondas
96 Civic EX Coupe
XX Honda Accord
Not so much instructions but a list of those makes/models that ARE NOT plug-n-play.

Re: HID Special $60 Shipped for Honda-Tech members
Hi grumble,
Sorry to say we don't have that list available, the only reason is because there are hundreds of Years, make and model of these cars, it's impossible to list them all, and another reason why we can't list them is because even if there is two identical vehicle (same yr make model), one might need to reverse and one might not, we really don't know why as we make our harnesses exactly the same.
The assumption is that even if the vehicles have the same YEAR, it might have been from different month's lot #, produced slightly different settings, etc. that is why when we go to a dealership and purchase parts, they asked for the vehicle's VIN so they know exactly that part from that lot #.
Thanks for your understanding~
