h22 eg hatch project-southern indiana
hello. new to honda-tech heres my h22 build thread from clubeg6
i just bought my 5th honda, an 93 hatch for a project. i know it aint easy but i want to know how my honda works and be in it when its a 13 sec car. it should b ready for spring. if u have any advice on a swap give it. i work at a body shop so i have the resources for every thing just not the experiance.i also going to try and document this project from the beginning and that will be a job all on its own.
with day 2 of the build done i have accomplished...
striaghtening the pass side rail. so i have put radiator support and a used fender and hood on so i can align every thing. [getting cf hood]. got the engine started[so i no if its a good motor or not].tom ill weld the radiator support on and put the front bumper on and then it will b ready for paint.
im looking for a cf hood and cf hatch if any1 has then let me no.ooh and fog lights also.
so far ive lower it with lowering springs and stock shocks and put most of the body panels on and fixed all the ricer stuff on the inside
bought the engine today. h22 $$$ did i happen to mention it came with a car 2.comments plz first h22 swap
story about the wreck http://www.wave3.com/Global/story.asp?S=5288495
UPDATE
scuffed and jammed the rad support and fender oo and my password jdm fogs and side markers came in today

finally pulled the motor out of the lude and wired the fogs up but havent installed them to the bumper yet
i got the front end primered up and ready for paint.should b painted and looking half way stock by friday

sad to say that 2 died in it. and the the driver [24] has the mind of a 12 year old and i think they were only going 60 mph too. the passernger side was pushed in to the center console.

Jesus. A guy I used to work with just died. Same situation. All been drinking, the girl wrecked. Him and another guy were killed in the wreck and the girl died at the hospital. Crazy ****.

Re: h22 eg hatch project-southern indiana
i gave the car including the front end bit to the girl so she could tour the area giving drunk driving talks to schools. didnt get all the wiring from it tho so now that the motor is going in i might suffer from that.

you cannot tune with chrome or neptune you would have to use a stand alone.. and it is harder to pass smoke because they hook up your ECU...

Re: h22 eg hatch project-southern indiana
there was a dizzy issue buts its been resolved. it turns over, but compression is ****ed up. so since its been sitting for 3 years it should be the stuck value, blown head gasket from overheating at the wreck, or needs oil in the cylinders. go home today so i get to address the problem in person. should be running by next week.

updated shots haven't updated in a while,
new DA ls wheels, vision sides corners, del sol seats with no color stripe, new windshield and front end got painted[dump truck hit it] , and i've been working on tucking the bay up.
still needing back seats and upper rear pillar trim
if ur in bloomington let me know!
the car is getting repainted the same color soon i know it doesn't match
got some rust and dents on the hood i needed to cover up. the left fog cover is getting matched to the right soon.
side view. didn't shoot the other side cuz of a giant birdshit mark!!

wow nice job saving another car from the crusher. too bad about that prelude tho. i always wondered what happens to a car after an INSANE wreck like that one. they should add to the news story that a local member is helping with recycling by re using the motor from the vehic. in their vehicle. lol

Re: h22 eg hatch project-southern indiana
dude i waited 2 years for that motor. i saw it in the impound lot bout 4 years ago were the cars were still being kept for evidence and knew i would get that motor one day. i was 15 at the time. lol running strong now. since i the iacv is turned off i have to drive around with a code 7 until it warms up.
