Some people would like to see the physical difference of between these two headers so i took a few pics of them side by side.

Actually the skunk2 is shorter and pairs differently than the Hytech replica. The skunk2 unit is also made of far superior quality tubing and welds. The flange on the collector is also rotational and not fixed like most headers, so it can mate up to any exhaust flawlessly.

I was mainly referring to the pairing between the primary's to there collectors.
The SK2 pairs cylinders 1 with 2 & 3 with 4 from there primary runners.
The Hytech is 2 with 4 & 3 with 1.

it also appears to me that the skunk has longer merge areas from the secondaries to the collector pipe. props to skunk on a very nice piece

i would seem to think they must have done some research into an original idea of different cylinder pairings, since personally thats the first header ive seen pair those.

Nope. I sold the Hytech after I took those pics. The car has still not been dynoed on the Skunk2 header yet.

The HyTech replicas are the SAME headers John choose a Asian company to build, only he didn't buy the whole shipment. The leftovers were dumped on the market. Guess what the headers did work and asain old company was contacted to make more while John denies.

Well I wouldn't say a complaint on the header. My car is low on some H&R Race springs which caused the header to scrap in some areas on bad roads. But trust me, it took a good beating and still retained good shape on the tube. My Hytech was almost closed shut from scraping.
