Re: DC2 dash in EG
INTERIOR = Dashboard, Console, Panels, etc...
ive seen a GSR dash in a EG, look pretty damn good too. But i think he said it was a biatch...i dont think its FAB work, i think you need to trim some pieces here and there, drill some holes and make brackets. Just time consuming and even harder if you dont have an extra set of hands.

Shopping list,
1) dc2 dash
2) dc2 center console arm rest
3) preferably dc2 front seats
4) you have to trim your civic door panels, and you really have to take take your time or it'll look like ****
5) dc2 gauge cluster
6) dc2 heator core
You have to cut the steering column support for the gauge cluster to fit properly, drill a hole above the clock to mount a screw, and take dc2 side mounts and trim a little bit from them.
The wiring is more of a bitch though, I don't have a door open light, I don't have a gas light (though apparently I have to change the civic fuel pump **** in the gas tank to a integra for a working gas light) I don't have rear defrost, when my high beems are on my signals are mixed up (they flash differently then what they really are), and my signals just stopped working.....
Other then that its beast, it looks 1000x better then the civic dash, basically do a little research and take your time, especially on cutting the door panels.
Check the FAQS theirs a couple write ups on how to do it with plenty of pictures.

Re: DC2 dash in EG
nice, I think Im gonna that route. Sorry about that I did mean interior, but typing too fast made me mess that up. Does the stock wiring work, or do you have to use DC2 wiring?

Re: DC2 dash in EG
the wiring part required the most attention to detail... when i did mine, i metered it all all to make sure where all the wires went on both harnesses. then i put the civic fuse block plugs on the integra dash harness. everythign worked first shot no issues

Re: DC2 dash in EG
I wouldn't recommend doing it. Tampering with the VIN number in any way is federally illegal. If you ever sell the car later down the road and it goes out of state you will run into problems.

Re: DC2 dash in EG
The VIN is stamped on the firewall, not the dash. There's nothing illegal about this swap. While your attempt at helping is appreciated, please get your facts straight before posting.
Also, good job bumping an almost 3 year old dead thread, jdm1000. You really shouldn't do that.

I know what I am talking about I own a vehicle that is missing the VIN tag on the dash. The car had to have a VIN plate reassigned by the state of California on the door jamb. If a police officer ever asks about it I will be legally covered. Don't believe me that tampering with a VIN number is federally illegal? Look it up.
And one last thing would you put a cork in it about it being an old thread? All you people do is bitch and bitch and bitch about people not searching. Then when somebody actually searches and makes a reply to a relevant thread that is old rather than making a useless new one where people will scream at you to SEARCH, people still get upset.

Re: DC2 dash in EG
so cut the vin off your old dash and put it on the new one. its not that big of a deal. I have done this dash swap for 12 people, and NO ONE has had ANY problem.
and GOOD for you for searching.. its nice to see once in a while.
