There should be some kind of sensor that you leave in your other pocket, so even if they asked for the keys, it wil not start and they will have to abandon it! Just make sure you're not held hostage in the car.

i have a lowjack type of thing installed.. google maps and satellite images.. i can locate the car along with disabling the starter in the car after it has been stolen. I have a nrg quick release set up with the steering wheel.... also a clutch lock and a viper pager alarm that pages me when it goes off. also relocated the hood cable and installed louder horns.

First off, if these cars get stolen this much then someone must know what they are worth right? Not some ordinary car thief, but someone who knows Honda's. So if you think about it, the thieves may be actually browsing various honda forums looking for victims.

it was a one time thing of 250 dollars for the unit itself... and i believe i get 10 hits on either one of the google maps or satellite images and its a dollar every hit after that.. and that's it! And you can disable the starter from your computer.
ebay has one for 120 bucks! it doesn't disable the starter and the tracking isnt as good but ive heard itll do the job for the most part. the way i looked at it was.. i thought about how much money i spend on parts... it doesn't make any sense not to have to spend a decent amount to protect my investment. its to be expected. |
