Sucks for you guys in a 15 mile radius I think there are about 5 or 6 stations that sell E-85 at the pump. Drive right up and fill her up. Most of the stations are called Family Express and E-85 is about $2 a gallon right now way better than over $3 for 93...

Nice! Norfolk Naval Shipyard has it but I wonder if they'll sell it to the yard employees, gotta find out.
It says only military personal. I'm praying so, I'll just drive my car to work once a week or whenever it needs gas. haha

no you cannot just put it in and go. you have to tune for e85. the main thing i had to do was add more fuel, around 35% more if i remember right to get proper afr's. i run e85 straight and i didn't change any parts out except for bigger injectors and the tune. my walbro 255 is holding up just fine. i did a lot of research before switching to this stuff and i'm glad i finally decided to run it. b16 with 12:1 comp + 150 shot n2o + e85 =

Hell, all I did was put in a Walbro 255, some NGK 5's, and advance the timing. The rest is all stock, I have been driving the POS work car, a 91' CRX Si with a B16, for over 3 years this way. Putting close to 100,000 miles on this setup, nothing has gone wrong besides burning up a couple old oxygen sensors.

On the same road that Synapse Motorsport is on in Schenectady NY (Albany area) there is a Mobil station that now carries it, convenient for him since he can tune guys and they can top off on the way home lol

I know...You can always drive a bit and fill up a drum.
Now that i'm in gainesville, the Biofuels Station in Lake City makes their own e85, they also have e98 if you're looking for more power or want to mix your own e85 with 93 (or higher) octane instead of 87. They are cool about filling up my 55 gallon drum. The one on the turnpike are real tight asses though, a lot of time if you're car isn't on their FFV list, they wont let you fill up. |
