Use Duplicolor caliper paint kit (can be had at any auto parts store for $15-20) Works great (note pics are not on a honda, actualy on my old MR2, but shows the quality of the paint.).

here's mine.....

i know it's been done with the brush + paint.... so I used spray paint...

stripped it, had to do multiple coats, wash and spray the paint remover every 30 mins (3-4 times) steel brush helps for corners. doesn't have to be bare metal. you can see the yellow + black primary coat then gold finish

primered + filler for deep scratches and such, tape your bleeder nipple and tighten it, also behind the caliper where the hardlines connect. so no break fluid leak that can mess up your project. took the bleed nipple for taping

after primer/filler is dry, scuff it with 3M scuff pad (red) or 360-400 grid sand paper, then apply alchohol on the microfiber cloth then wipe it down for dust or oily areas, spray the red caliper paint. light coats then mild...this red caliper paint isn't quite the brembo red. so i sprayed over it with dupli color cardinal red cc it matches my friends brembo GT red paint.

spray the clear coat when the paint is dry. i spray about 4-5 coats. as you can see there are still orange peel... so tomorrow i'll wet sand it with 1000-1200 grid

I will post pictures of wet sanded + buffed + polished tomorrow....finish touch, my brembo decal just arrive today in white gloss, exact size

more orange peel....BAD!

here's a sample of wet sanded, buffed, polished, waxed, finished

now the finish project + brembo decals

THANKS FOR VIEWING !!!

I used high temp BBQ grill paint on my calipers. Put a few thin coats on it, and it seems to be holding up fine. Took it to Buttonwillow the other week, and it held up to the heat just fine..

it also depends on how you are braking. pump brake, engine brake, free will brake, neutral brake(bad), heavy brake... i painted a valve cover before never flaked, cracked and you know that its much hotter than the brake calipers.

Painting the brakes with paint is just a waste of time unless all you do is DD. Any kind of performance driving will start discoloring the paint and if you use an aggressive brake pad you will set the calipers on fire. Heck even the "not so great" brembos in the Evo's and STI's are catching fire with sticky tires and race pads.
