Default Looking for a good rotor/brake pad combo for 06 TSX

Can anyone lead me to a good aftermarket upgrade for the front rotor/brakes on a 06 TSX? Car is not being raced, just want something that stops better then stock and not prone to warping. Not looking for top self kind of stuff, just a decent upgrade to the OEM.

Thanks in advance.

Owners have had good results with Hawk pads for a direct replacement from stock. As for rotors, keep them as they are. There isn't a need for drilled or slotted.

Does the JDM Euro R & USDM TSX use the same pads?

i got the powerslot rotors with hawk hps pads and love my setup. only reason i upgraded rotors though is because my stock ones were warped from the previous owner (only 30,000 miles on the car). ive been told that the stock tsx rotors warp easily from the factory.

There has been numerous complaints on the OE rotors/pads. I have needed to change my combo for a while now, just never got around to doing it yet. I have 38K miles on it now.

ive warped through two sets of oem rotors in 27k. im planing on getting either powerslot/brembo/racingbrake rotors this spring. the oem stuff is pure crap is you drive your car hard at all.

Brembo OE rotors with Hawk HPS or Axxis Ultimate pads. More dust, but a lot better braking.

would i be fine w/ using say brembo blanks & oem pads? or would i still be pretty prone to getting the warping issues a lot of tsx's are having w/ oem pads & rotors?

If you don't mind the dust, I really like the Hawk HPS pads.

Exactly. I kept it simple. just resurfaced the blanks, used Hawk pads and Stainless steel lines. can't get better than that.

I've gone through 2 sets of OEM rotors/brakes as well. I drive almost 200 miles a day for work and it's mostly highway. It feels like a massage chair whenever I have to slow down from 75-80mph to 40mph. I had the 1st set replaced under factory warranty around 30k miles. Now I'm at 70k and it's the same thing with these OEM parts. What would my best option be? I don't want to spend an insane amount of $$.

Just a heads up for those still running factory pads and having issues with rotor or pad wear and or vibrations. There is a service bulletin on this. Make sure they replace the pads with the updated part number, if they use the same old number pad the same thing will happen. To answer shazeems question... and correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the rear brake setup is different on the Euro R. Part number 43022-SV4-G22 where ours is 43022-S84-A50.

For the front brake shudder make sure you use 45022-SEC-A00 as the replacement pad.

show pics, or give me a how to because im very interested in doing this swap. is it a direct bolt on or do you need a custom bracket to mount the caliper? has anyone done this swap on the cl9 yet?

Love the Power Slot rotors in my car with Hawk pads...but the downside to that is the slots eat the pads like crazy. I go through a set of pads in 12-18 months

My OEM rotors were done right around 42,000 miles. I then swapped to the Powerslots and AutoZone pads, that lasted me until 87,000 miles. I just went to a complete AutoZone setup this past weekend.
