As the title says, if dinosaurs still existed, do you think we'd still be the dominant species of this planet?

Tough to call, since we wouldn't be as smart as we are now, back then when dinosaurs existed.

I'm not completely fluent on dinosaurs or primitive humans.. I'm just guessing that, we would still be dominant. I think we'd be smart enough to live among them, somehow.

LOL, hopefully somebody thats a bit smarter might be able to make this thread a little more interesting.. what'd you guys think?

If you're talking about Human today, then we will definitely come on top. If we're talking about us back then with our silly arrows and bow, then of course the dino.

We wouldn't of evolved nearly as quickly I'd assume due to being lower on the food chain so we wouldn't be where we are today.

If Dinosaurs had lived constantly with us from the evolution of the human (whenever you want to place that date at) to today, I don't think we'd be where we are now. Because if we were being hunted, think of all the things that would have been near impossible to do, like farming, that are crucial for society's rise.

If, on the other hand, Dinosaurs just showed up tomorrow somewhere, we would easily destroy them.

I know if I was a caveman I would have stolen a T-Rex egg and hatched it myself. Then the baby T-Rex would have thought I was it's parent. I would nourish the young dino so when it got older it wouldn't eat me.

Then when it was full grown I'd contsruct a saddle and ride around the world on my T-Rex battling other dinosaurs and conquering the planet.

I'd then create an army of velocoraptors, pterodactyls and T-Rexs to control the world.

I question the assumption that people back then didn't have around the same IQ as we have. I know we're talking a big time difference, but still, look at the Romans of 2,000 years ago. I would say they would OWN the average American on an IQ test.

Dinosaurs would forget about us 5 minutes after we're out of sight. With a humans frontal lobe, we could go back to our cave and make a year long detailed plan of attack. NO CONTEST.
