Upcoming Haltech Platinum ECUS
Good day ladies and gentlemen!
Just thought I would share with you all some of the new ecus that we will be releasing around the beginning of 2009.
The Platinum Sport 1000 and 2000 will replace our current E8 and E11v2 ECUS, feature usb communication, a 32 bit processor, 32x32 resolution, multiple inputs and outputs, a wide array of supported patch looms (for plug and play applications), an internal 2.5 bar map sensor, and lots of other great features. They will feature a new software package and allow for tuning via VE in addition to the standard means you find in our current ecus. Everything is customizable in the software, and it is leaps and bounds better than the current Halwin software, which isn't necessarily bad, but this newer stuff is great. Also, the pinout on the ecus will remain the same as the current E8 and E11v2, so you can upgrade from your old ecu and not have to get another harness.
You will also see our upcoming Platinum Pro R35 GTR ECU as well. This will be a top of the line full stand alone ecu for the GTR. It will share many of the same features as the current 350Z/VQ35 Platinum plug and play ecu as well.
If anyone has any questions about anything, please let me know.
I am NOT selling these, as we do not do any public sales, and we only sell through our dealer network.

Glad to hear that you have heard of them. We have a video on youtube as well, and it may have been the same one in the D-Sport magazine DVD. I cannot wait to try out the Platinum Sport 1000 on my car and have it replace my current E8.
Here is a link to that video I believe

I think these are a definite step in the right direction for us, as the hardware is very, very powerful, and now our software will be in line with that as well.

Our test units were supposed to have shipped from Australia today, hopefully early next week my car will be up, running, and tuned on a Platinum Sport 1000.

The Sport 1000 and 2000 will be priced equivalent to our current E8 and E11v2, and the K series Pro unit will most likely be very similar to the current 350Z Pro Platinum ecu as well.

My car is now running on a Platinum Sport 2000, and I must say, the software is awesome.
Everything works great so far.

FLAG! - Unnecessary roughness on the Platinum ECU and adding usb's and built in map sensors on the rear, 15 yard penalty! Nice touches and thanks for making everyone else step up there game.

haha! Thanks man. I think that this new software will be really good for us. The on board datalogging is world's better than before now as well. Also, combined with the Racepak software, its really nice for datalogging.

Re: Upcoming Haltech Platinum ECUS
Just thought I would share some screenshots of the upcoming Platinum ECU Manager software. Please note that this is NOT connected to a car, and when you do connect to a car, your gauges are all up and running and easily visible, and not greyed out. Also, you may notice the trace view there, where you can see the data coming across in real time.
The first untis should be available on Monday, the 19th. K-Series and GTR ecus will be after that sometime, not sure how long after, though I cannot wait to see them both myself.

Did you hardwire this in or is a Plug n' Play wire harness gonna be available for the obd1 or obd2 applications?

Re: Upcoming Haltech Platinum ECUS
We created an obd1 pnp harness and will be producing them when our next shipment of harnesses comes in from our supplier.
As for an obd2 pnp harness, I have the diagrams necessary to create one, but we have not produced one yet. If the demand is there, it is something we can look into making.
Finally, we do still support full wire ins though if someone were to choose to do so.

Re: Upcoming Haltech Platinum ECUS
We released these last week, and we have 2 left of our original shipment, and have had positive reviews from our dealers so far. We hope to see the Platinum Sport 1000 ecus available within the next month or so now as well.

Re: Upcoming Haltech Platinum ECUS
There may be one additional software/firmware update for the E8/E11v2, but I do not know what it will entail. The guys in Australia handle that, and my talking with them about it has been minimal, as the focus has been on these platinum sport ecus and on our platinum pro ecus, to include the R35 GTR and K-series.
