Question for Civic EX service code??
I tried searching but I keep getting a "search server is down" message. I have an 06 Civic EX that I have done all the maintenance on (as I do with all my cars). I was on the way home and got the service wrench, no big deal the oil is at 15% so I will change it this weekend but I also got a B12 code?
I see in the service manual it lists an A and B code section but I see no mention of 12, anybody have any idea on this one?

Re: Question for Civic EX service code?? (Plastic Fury)
B12 is not a B-twelve, it's actually a B-one-and-two. So you would follow the maintenance sub items for 1 and 2.
The following are from the 2006 Civic Sedan Owners Manual (p.187):
Symbol A:
- Replace engine oil
Symbol B:
- Replace engine oil and oil filter
- Inspect front and rear brakes
- Check parking brake adjustment
- Inspect these items:
- Tie rod ends, steering gear box, and boots
- Suspension components
- Driveshaft boots
- Brake hoses and lines (including ABS)
- All fluid levels and condition of fluids
- Exhaust system
- Fuel lines and connections
Number 1:
- Rotate tires
Number 2:
- Replace air cleaner element
- If you drive in dusty conditions, replace every 15,000 miles (24,000 km).
- Replace dust and pollen filter
- If you drive primarily in urban areas that have high concentrations
of soot in the air from industry and from diesel-powered vehicles,
replace every 15,000 miles (24,000 km).
- Inspect drive belt
Number 3:
- Replace transmission fluid
Number 4:
- Replace spark plugs
- Inspect valve clearance
Number 5:
- Replace engine coolant

Re: Question for Civic EX service code?? (smxcan)
I had a feeling it was just for the two sub boxes listed in the manual, as in B 1 & 2 but I wanted to double check and make sure I was not missing something.
Thanks.
Thanks.
