So I got some more things done to the car this past Wednesday. :goodjob: Getting down to the last few things before I send the car to paint. Still have to redo the seam sealer in the engine bay before paint. Which is gonna suck, but its whatever. I went to the local body supply and shopped around for the SEM 2 stage seam sealer and was surprised with the price. :yikes: Its 30 bucks for the tube it self which isn't bad. On the other hand the 2 chamber caulking gun is like almost 70 bucks. :yikes: I should be getting it this week. I just want to redo the seam sealer b/c it looks terrible. Honda just put it on for function obviously not for looks. Here are some pics of what I got done. Here I am removing the rear deck panel. ![]() Removing the doorpanels ![]() ![]() removing the moldings. :goodjob: ![]() ![]() Now onto the headliner ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DEE Putting in that work! ![]() She's out!! ![]() Crazy right ? ![]() First time removing door handles. Man they suck to figure out. ![]() ![]() Dropping the brake and fuel lines. ![]() Had to drop the sub frame a little bit to clear the lines. :goodjob: ![]() Got em!! ![]() Removing the wiper motor. ![]() Removing misc. grommets here and there. ![]() How am I gonna ever put this back together. :what: ![]() Removed the pillar moldings. ![]() ![]() ![]() 75% of the interior ![]() Now what do I do ? :what: ![]() Always good to be organized. :goodjob: ![]() I never knew I could look so determined. :yikes: ![]() Got the taillights off ![]() ![]() Looks like a piece of food. LOL I look slow in this pic. ![]() That it for now. Next update will be grinding down the studs on the firewall along with the removal and reapplication of the seam sealer in the engine bay. :goodjob: Thanks for looking guys. |

Since today we had such great weather. I woke up this morning feeling ambitious. I went to the garage and tackled a couple more tasks. Few more things before I send the car to paint. I set up a date with the body shop for Nov. 14 to drop the car off. I can't wait to get the car back from paint. Thats when everything will began to fall into place and the building process begins. My bro and I got some pretty good pics today.... Check em out!! Before: ![]() ![]() Safety First: ![]() Going to town! ![]() ![]() Sparks in my face! ![]() ED Puttin in work! DO WORK DIESEL! ![]() ED Approved ![]() Making progress. ![]() Drilling out spot welds. ![]() Our Mascot cheering us on!! ![]() Some more grinding ![]() Drilling out the condenser ledges. ![]() Out it goes. ![]() Masked of the holes. ![]() Sprayed some primer to prevent rust from now until the body shop. ![]() No more studs and condenser ledges. ![]() ![]() Now onto removing the emblems. ![]() Heat gun FTW ![]() ![]() A little too much heat LOL ![]() So Far so good. ![]() Next I will be doing a little more of this. Trimming and removing the excess seam sealer. God Honda really did it sloppy. ![]() Thats all folks! |
