Fog light loom install for 96-98 Civic
Well I thought I would be cool and get myself a wiring harness for some newly acquired Raybrig fog lamps.
Upon receiving it, the harness looked a bit confusing as there are a few plugs I cannot identify. The reference I have is used for a 2000 Civic which seems to be slightly different (in the plugs they use). Part number for the Fog switch harness is 08V31-S04-70007 if that helps anyone -
Check this out below:
I have figured that at a guess that the plug labeled 'Plug to switch' is the plug that goes into the fog light switch as it fits in.
Others like the ground are simple, and I think the 'Single cable (blue)' is the signal cable that connects to the loom in the engine bay to turn on the spots. Judging by the gauge of the white cable, it maybe safe to say that is a power cable?
All the rest I am unsure about, such as:
* 2 orange cables with the splicers
* The single red cable
I think it will somehow have to talk to the headlights, as these should only turn on when the parking lights are active.
Anyone with fog lights able to shed some light? Any help is appreciated!

Re: Fog light loom install for 96-98 Civic
I helped my cousin install some Raybrigs in his 2000 Civic LX 4 years ago. I took some pics so I'll dig them up when I get home.
I somewhat remember a certain plug that I don't see in your pic. There's a male/female plug by the steering column that had to be unplugged, then one plug from the foglight harness would fit in between those plugs, like it was some sort of bridge. I believe that's what connected the foglights to the headlight switch. Those orange wires look cut, so I'm guessing they were connected to that missing bridge plug.
Single cable (blue), I'm guessing it connects to the wiring that the foglights are connected to. The foglight wiring has to pass through the firewall to connect to the rest of the harness.
Single wire (red) and power cable plug looks like they go into one of the numbered slots in the fuse box.
It's been 4 years so I'll have to look at my pics to refresh my memory.

wtf just noticed this was an old thread.
:facepalm:
