Default New and improved OFFICIAL Firearms thread

Sorry Johnny, was out of town for a bit

Show off your goods, ask questions, drool, etc. If it uses a firing pin, it belongs here. Rimfire, centerfire, blackpowder. Long guns, handguns, shotguns, whatever. Zombie plans? Post them here.

To get it started.

The Glock 21 and my 870 are the only toys I have at my place.

Glock is the only ine I have a pic of.

I have a bunch of rifles and shotguns and a couple .38s locked up at my parents place. Many of them were picked up from grandparents on both sides.

Got my Savage 10FP about 2 months ago:

(not me shooting it)

Didn't like the stock much or the scope...so I upgraded everything!

-Bell and Carlson tactical stock
-Burris XTR medium rings
-EGW 20MOA base
-Karsten adjustable cheek piece
-Falcon Optics Menace 4.5-18x56IR

Cannot wait to go out to the range soon!

For in home I'm a big supporter of a good shotgun with a tac light on it. I generally keep it loaded with buckshot.

This thread makes me want to cry. . . I ordered a DPMS AR15 in January, paid in full, it's supposed to be here sometime next week (originally told 3 weeks from purchase date) and now I can't pass a background check or get the non-refundable deposit back.

Well, wait until I buy a rifle, and then let me move in. Any one who looks at the door wrong will regret it.

Also, any recommendations for AR-15 lowers?

Shotgun with buckshot.

Great close quarters weapon. Point and shoot, not much aiming and won't penetrate through walls to much killing neighbors by accident like a pistol is more likely to do.

Also the sound of racking a shotgun will send chills down most intruder's spines.

I'm in the same boat, one of the salesmen at the gun shop said they're nearly all the same, but he was also selling them at $218 some brand I've never heard of. He is a salesman so I don't really know.

So do most of you prefer rifles/shotguns or handguns?

Also anyone know where to find a original synthetic stock for a Marlin MLS-50 Muzzle loader. It seems to be a hard to find gun as it wasn't made long back in I think 97.
