I always tackle the remakes with the mindset "it is an entirely different show/movie..." That generally works for me.

V (the new one) is looking a bit promising. Can anyone clarify (I sure don't remember), I thought the 'V' graffiti (in the original show) was protesting the visitors, not saluting them? Is my memory off?

In this new version, the Aliens have been living among us for years without our knowledge. I don't think that's how it was in the original, no?

I don't know about you... but that sounds a lot like the new Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles tv show (the terminators are living among us stockpiling for the war, blah blah).

I don't remember that from the original but I think I missed part of the beginning of the original series (so I could have missed it).
