does it need to be that high ? i know mine will be down low but i have driven some very low cars on the road with no problem with about 5cm ground clearence on the engine (Lister Jaguar ). as long as i don't go off road i think mine will be have no problems. i would rather modify the sump to be shallower and run with "cat flaps" in the sump and an accusump rather than spoil the lines of the cars with a huge bonnet bulge your build looks very special and will end up being a lot nicer than mine . i envy the amount of space you have and the quality of your work |

I dont mind this style of scoop (right at the very start of the video - ). It's very tidy I think. However I did see similar style but on much larger scale and it didn't look all that great to be honest.
I would just mock up different styles with cardboard, rest them on the car and pick your favourite.

But have no opening of course. I guess that makes it a rectangular scoopbulge thingy?

Wiring???? I leaving that last till all the mechanical work and fabrication is done.. Looking into AEM power Engine Management System with S2000 engine wiring loom for the engine, and customize a loom for the rest of the electrics lights, indicators, wipers etc. Updates: Currently setting up the front brakes will be running Gemini (Opel) spindles and Holden brakes.. Will post some pictures when I get a chance.. still modifying.. Check out this you tube video of Phil Penny's S600 coupe.. Cheers Leo |

Hi All,
I have finished setting up the front end with the Gemini (Opel) spindles. Both upper arms have been modified to adapt the Gemini (Opel) top ball joint. ![]() I’m running Holden commodore VT front brakes which are 296mm vented rotor with twin spot callipers ![]() ![]() ![]() The wheels are Holden commodore interceptors 15x6 ![]() Just checking to make sure the wheels fit under the front guards ![]() ![]() Current tyre size is 185/55R15 I will need to lip the front guards to get a bit more clearance for the wheels… But I looking for a 175/55R15 tyre which might save me having to lip the guards.. Still to come.. Rear tyres will be 225/50R15 on a 15x7 interceptor rim.. Cheers Leo |

I see two sedans in your picture but the size of them look different? Is it the angle of the picture or are they different cars? The two yellow ones on the left from page 1?

I would go for a shelby cobra type hood scoop. Since it's obviously not destined for DD duty, I don't see rain as much of a problem. Or a reversed type hood scoop (late 1970s Pontiac TransAm had these attatched to the air cleaner called shaker scoops), but a bulge would be the most subtle.
