Let's see those rat rod styled Hondas/Acuras
I never found a thread of this and I love the style, but haven't really seen any of our cars done like this. So let's see them!

That green civic is pretty cool. Thats kinda like what I'm thinking for my ef. I want to do the rusty hood thing too and see what it looks like.

I love those pics also
but what i dont understand is the whole ... letting the body rust to add character thing
yes it does look tasteful, but are they planning on letting the car rust as it wants to, or do they "control" it in some way?

The llast vw posted was originally like that. The guy had a thread on VW vortex and he abuses the **** out of the car. Many of the rusted cars seem to be surface rust from removed paint. I dont understand turning a new car into a rat rod, but beaters and already rusted cars like the VW are sick.

anyone have pictures of that one rat rod rusted vw cruising on the freeway with no hood, with a painted, tucked engine bay? driver was wearing a bandana over his face..

Wish I had new, less-whored-out pics but it's cold and the car is jacked up for the winter so these will have to do until next spring.
And yes there was a lot of natural rust before I destroyed the paint.
