.:update:. <itr 01-1059>
Well last year I had the opportunity to buy my favorite car ever built, Esteban's (EPGONZALEZ)'01 Nighthawk Black ITR 1059. When I purchased it all the original Mugen parts had been already sold (all Aero, Brakes, Wheels, Interior, Header, Valve Cover, Exhaust, Interior, etc...). The JIC suspension was also sold. I practically picked up a chassis, with a built motor. I knew I had to swoop on the opportunity to pick up this rare '01 with only 6,000 miles. I considered using the built B-Series it already had, 205whp/140tq. But I knew this is probably going to be one of the last Hondas I'll build so I went all out. I already have bought every single part I want to use, now it's a matter of assembly. I'll post a detailed description of the build as I update it.
Enjoi!
Here are some pics of when I picked it up last December. I had to install some stock civic suspension and my TSX wheels to roll it on the trailer
The car was Esteban's "Junk" storage LOL
Went through a small rain storm on the way home
Some shots of the stripped engine bay before Gilbert (Onepoint6i) shot it with a Por15 Basecoat and a custom mixed PPG top coat.

Took the car to Revenge Motorsports here in San Diego to finish up a few things. John Mets is the man. He installed my new Blox spherical rear trailing arm bearings, Wicked Engineering Front lower control arms with spherical bearings, Skunk2 Pro-Series Plus Front upper control arms, and Extended Wheels Studs. He also made me sweet custom Stainless Steel 3"in Intake and some nice adjustable brackets for my new cluster setup. If you need any custom parts fabed or help with installation, I recommend you hitting him up as he does very good work.

yeah, that B would've been a lot more "all out" than a K.
Anyway, not here to hate. That's always been one of my favorite Rs as well. I know you'll do it right and use it well.

Thanks Corey, unfortunately I've been demoted from the garage to the driveway with a car cover. I will be buying a house this year so hopefully she'll go back to where she belongs.

I've been there and done that. a 200whp B-Series engine doesn't impress me anymore. I didn't want to half-*** it and just assemble it without any thought or plans, that's not the way I roll.

It is the future. There is no way I can accomplish my my goal of 300 N/A whp on pump gas with a B-Series. K-Series is the future, no doubt about it. Blueprint Racing did all the work, I highly recommend them.
