Default How to replace sideview mirrors?

I have a 99 Civic 4D.

I saw this posting on craigslist.
"96-00 civic ek power sideview mirrors(black) $40
96-00 civic ek non-power sideview mirrors(black) $30 "

Not sure which one to get, but my sideview mirror is completely taken off. How do you replace them? I can take a picture of mine if needed.

I'm nor sure on fitment either. In my EG, to remove the old side mirror and put the new one on, you pull off the plastic block plate on the inside of your door, then you take the 3 nuts off. Unplug your harness [if they're powered] and then just pull the mirror off. Once the mirror is off, take of the rubber sealing on the mirror. If the new mirror comes with the studs already in it then you're golden. If not, you have to unscrew the studs from the old one and put them on the new one. Then just replace the rubber seal and put it all back together.

Hope that helps,
Matt

Thanks a lot guys!
Looks like I have to keep searching for an EG mirror. I was hoping the EK would be the same fit. Guess not.

You have an EK, or at least what is commonly (and incorrectly) refered to as an EK

EG -> 5th gen civic, '92 - '95
EK -> 6th gen civic, '96 - '00

Neither of those definations are technically correct, but these are the generally accepted meanings, what you need are mirrors from a '96 - '00 civic 4 door sedan.
