5w-20 is what Honda recommends for weight of oil and will be just fine for the temperature ranges you have in Texas. I use Amsoil 5w-20 synthetic oil in my 05 Accord.

Amsoil offers two different oils that will work well in your application, they are
1. the Signature Series which lasts up to 25,000 miles or 1 year 2. the XL series which is good for 7,500 miles or 6 months. they offer an oil filter that will last up to 25,000 miles or 1 year. Amsoil also offers a service in which you send in a sample of your oil and they analyze it and can tell you if you can run it longer or if you should change it. If you can continue to run it, you juse need to change the oil filter. In some cases, "By analyzing used engine oil, a qualified lab can detect mechanical problems your engine may have."
