Lol, yeah so since I work at Acura I decided to look up the price of a brand new K20 valve cover and suprisingly they arent that bad.

1. the sign up deadline is nice... see what were running for! maybe it should only be 5$ to attract more people. or maybe just one set prize.

2. I have my valve cover almost finished.. so november seems long... whats the hold up. its just paint!

I agree that maybe the entree fee should be a little less. Reason being, I dont think most people are entering this to win the money, I imaging its just to win and be the best and have fun. The money is just a bonus. Plus like mentioned a lot more people might join. Just my .02

Heck I have a spare SOHC vc and a great idea for a design that I have pitched to a few people and they thought it was great, but I didnt want to pay to show it off

I think of it more as a fun thing to do... The money isnt a big deal... $5 would make it better though

Right, fun is the main idea, but I wanted to give people some motivation, too. The previous "build-offs" were largely unorganized and poorly handled.

I edited the first post to reflect the $5 change.

Another reason I'd like to extend the deadline is to give people time to find and buy a spare VC. Most people are not able to have their car immobile while working on their only VC.
