to Palmetto Restorations in Greenville, SC...the machine shop, assembler, painter and body shop guys are all good friends of mine so i get pretty bangin prices on work...they mostly specialize in restoring old classic cars and selling them at auctions or to collectors...then have a 67 shelby cobra going for 800k in their shop and some 67 shelby gt500's (elenore from gone in 60 seconds) they are restoring...all matching parts....so i mean their paint work is amazing![]() ![]() guy on the far right is the painter and their fab work is awesome...they took the 67 shelby and are redoing all the panels in metal...no more fiber glass... the scoops and side exit exhaust port all redone in metal no fiberglass at all on this thing ![]() suspension for it ![]() and a supercharged cobra lamanns motor ![]() 760 HP@5800rpm, 740 lb-ft torque @4800rpm. On pump gas. these guys know what they are doing...from the paint job i'm getting...including body work, materials and everything it should cost me over 3 grand...i've not even paying half of that... and i watched him paint my parts...sealer...primer....3 base coats and 3 clear coats...no sanding inbetween and it hasn't been cut or buffed yet...he said with the right prep work, mixing the materials right...right temperature in the booth and just knowing how to paint...you will never have to color sand or anything...just paint, clear cut and buff Modified by TehMan at 1:13 PM 7/29/2008 |

that metal work is the shit, i've been messin around alot lately with metal in my free time and i hope to do some custom metal peices for a car in the future...on another hand that paint looks slick! We do alot of insurance work at my shop and a ton of rental car works, we never buff our rental cars, we'll usually just nib out any trash if its there.. ITS ALL ABOUT THE PREPWORK!!!!
Nice paint!

Color looks blue-ish IMO? Blue or green - it'll look fantastic I'm sure! |
