sorry, a month later and i finally see the question above. The headlights are OEM civic lights retrofitted with E46 single xenon HID's.

To the OP, here's a quick math for you.
$3.58 (parts) < $1.25 (high-pressure carwash) IMO, the setup in the CRV looks much nicer and simpler to do. |

to the guy above, in my O, no one asked for your O.i don't know why but you just came off as an ass to me.
maybe it was the math part where you tried to prove your theory that $3.58 < $1.25 lemme skool u a bit. 2 is greater than 1 therefore $3.58 > $1.25 maybe you should try to sue the public education system cause it clearly failed you. yes, the crv set up is nicer in the crv. Yes it it nicer overall because of cleanliness. i was bored and simply did a how-to because i myself just wondered if it was really as simple as it had seemed. i had seen another "how to" on honda tech but it only showed end results and no actual how-to. CRV's and civic have different hoods, fender mounting points, and other variables. If someone could use the legend dampers and make it work on an ek then that would be great. Dampers are usually different diameters and lengths, which make one application not necessarily the same as another. from the looks of the CRV picture, the legend dampers' fender mounts mount much closer to the front of the car, showing that they MUST be very long. Without the actual dampers in hand to mock up fitment, i can only speculate that the dampers will most likely not fit ek's because when in the compressed position, they will most likely hit the metal part that the bulges out from the shock tower area (the metal area where the hood prop click into the plastic thing to stay put) being that they are longer than the eg dampers, they will have to be mounted closer towards the headlights, which means they must squeeze past this area. ![]() see how much MORE room crv's have to work with.. ![]() They may be difficult to fabricate on a civic but i wouldn't know anything about that. I thought i was only trying to help some people out to save money. I didn't realize it was a competition that was going to be judged by someone who probably failed elementary math. My dirty engine is my own and let it be that. i assure you that it has been cleaned since july 24th of last year if it bugs you that much. lastly. shit i haven't been to this page since i first made the writeup. didn't even notice the crv setup until the above douche brought it to my attention. Much props. it is very clean.

Lol holy critics in this page! Who cares how dirty his engine bay is? Nice writeup, I'm now on the search for some EG shocks for my EK. Always wanted the dampeners but simply cannot justify spending the cash on the Teins. Would I buy the Tein setup if I had the extra scrilla laying around? Hell yea. All in all nice little DIY writeup!

Props to you. Screw all them haters. So what your motor is'nt clean. Its your ride. Any one ever think maybe he does'nt care he's saving that $1.25 from cleaning his motor for his swap?? Very good write up.
