No this write up is for an AP2 S2000 cluster going into a 1990-1991 CRX SI. The AP1 S2000 cluster is a bit different. I can pm you the AP1 info if you need it. Just let me know.

Read my first post on this thread it should have all the info you need. Except it does not have the AP1 cluster pinouts which I will PM you. You will need to match the wires from the AP1 pinouts to your existing car pinouts.

I added my cost up and I spent $390 on parts alone. Labor charges was free as I did the swap myself. I bit expensive but, I think its worth it.

How accurate are you finding the fuel gauge? Is it just wired straight from the sender to the cluster?

My fuel guage is okay. Because it takes the fuel bars a while to disapear on the S2K cluster. All in all it works fine and it has a low level warning light when you are low on gas. Whenever I need gas my fuel bars on the S2K is pretty accurate. Wiring the fuel is straight forward. Just take the wire that sends the fuel signal from your original cluster wire to the S2K's.

I am planning on going with a different setup for my CRX. That is why I am going to be selling my complete AP2 S2000 setup.

I too have not seen an 88 pinout. But its pretty straight forward. Just get the 88 cluster pinout and your good to go. Must be because not many 88 owners are doing this swap.

i saw in the list of things needed you said a vss for a 92-95 civic. if and when i ever get my car running, its gonna be a 95 ls motor, with obviously an electronic vss. would that one work or would i need a different one?

If your car came with an electronic VSS then you don't need to get another electronic VSS.

I don't know for sure if the 90-91 Civic SI and 90-91 CRX SI are the same. I have attached the 90-91 CRX cluster pinouts below. Compare yours and see if your cluster pin out looks like the ones pictured below. But, try to get a confirmation before you wire anything up.
