So are your speed readings pretty accurate? Because I know that is an issue that many people were having...

I know you added the speedohealer but how accurate is it?

My Speedohealer is pretty darn accurate. As I did side by side runs with my cousin and my speed was the same as his.

So is the speedohealer all pretty much plug and play or do you have to do some calibration on the unit? And how hard was it?

The speedohealer is not a plug and play unit. You need to wire it up of course. And then you need to enter in some numbers to calibrate it. I started off with 3500.0 on the unit. And worked from that calibration to get my speed correct. It will take you a few tries to get the calibration right. When you buy the unit they give you a calibration chart. It didn't help much for me. So, I just got the unit working and did side by side runs. Did some more adjustments until I got the speed corrected. The install was not hard at all in my opinion. It just takes a little patience.

OK thats what I figured...the install part I am not worried about. I love wiring... I just wasn't sure what the calibration would be like...but it sounds fairly easy!

Thanks for the info bro...

I spent close to $400 for my AP2 S2K cluster swap. The $400 is just for the parts alone. I installed it in my car by myself.

You can take the S2000 cluster apart and solder wires to the back of the connector end. I have seen it done before.

you did whaaat? you spent $400 to do that?!
ouch.

i mean, it's an awesome write up... but, what's the point?
it looks like crap sitting in there without a proper gauge surround.
adding a gauge surround makes it look less like crap... but still crap.
it's a pita to do... and you did it with the AP2 cluster, which has the lower redline...so, what happens when you want to build an engine with a 9K redline or higher?

I respect your willingness to try new things and the work involved... but I'm not going to make a toilet out of logs and a few zipties if there's no functional benefit (other than splinters in my ass, which is what you got after spending $400 to do that).

sorry to be the guy of reason

it nice to see something sort of original plus if someone just gets a front clip and it comes with it possibly someone in some point of time will find this information useful.

I guess for the price you just get a Haltech M3 Mini Dash and for 200$ more you could just go with the MyChron.
