GM Synchromesh Friction Modified, Canadian part # and photo inside
I read that GM synchromesh friction modified was being phased out, but that doesnt seem true. At least not up here in Canada, i gave GM the old part # (12377916) and he told me there was a supplement for this, the new part number was 10953509, i did a search on google and found out that this IS infact the same gm synchromesh friction modified, but has a differnet label, here is a pic stolen from acurazine.com, hope this helps someone who is lookin for this stuff, not sure if this part number will work in the states. Also apparantley if you peel back the acdelco sticker, the old GM sticker is under there, i will confirm this tommorow when i pick up my bottles and post.

Nice find. Doesn't look like the new p/n works on http://www.gmpartsdirect.com though
The old p/n however, does, which seems kinda odd. It links to something that's described simply as FLUID though, so it's probably the non-friction modified stuff.

Just want everbody know that GM part# 12377916 is still available from GM at this current time. It's just the dealers rarely stock it now but they can order it from their respective warehouse.

I got my synchromesh fluid from Lordco (Canadian auto parts store) pretty easily
