small update, decided to take time, maybe clean up the bay and paint it to match the car, and small wire tuck. Started to take off parts. Also if anyone can see in pictures i found out that front support is disconnected from body on bottom.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() also the front shocks look stock but different or something, some cheap springs but car stands very high in back so as the front ![]() ![]()

Yeah, you should replace the t-belt, alternator belt, and the gaskets. Might as well do it since the motor is out. You might want to check out the oil and water pumps too.

looks like you've been getting lots done.
something that i absolutely recommend first and foremost is without a doubt, you NEED to get rid of the cut wiring. check out ebay or another member's part out thread and buy an uncut dash harness, an uncut ECU to strut tower harness, and uncut engine bay harness. for the engine harness - ideally OBD1 B series VTEC, preferably at least D-series VTEC, definitely UNCUT. i know there are lots of other people on this site who have done H22 into DC/EG swaps, and hopefully they'll agree.... here are a few words of advice. please don't cheap out on parts or take shortcuts. for your own good. seriously. i know money can be tight, sh*t it has taken me a year to get my car to where i could actually drop my motor in, but spend some money and time where it's important so you don't end up pouring money into it later when things go wrong. #1: mounts. Innovative is what i'll recommend for as long as people are still interested in motor swaps. my innovative mounts fit perfectly. IMO, while Hasport is a very trusted company for mounts, they're way too overpriced for what you get. #2: axles. Driveshaft Shop. enough said. like mounts, it's a matter of preference though. Hasport is a reputable brand for axles as well. don't cheap out and piece together different axles from different models. that's ghetto. swap axles are $300. once and done. #3: wiring. can you solder? do you have a little patience? do it yourself and do it right. it's a very easy but time consuming thing to do. if you would like very specific first hand information, PM me and i'll help with anything i can. now you're a prelude guy, so of course you know the things like timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, etc etc. i really hate to 'bash' other people on this site who have done the swap, but seriously 80% of the info on HT regarding DC/EG H22 swaps is garbage. good luck with the swap, keep hitting it hard and you'll knock it out in no time. other than wiring and some little stuff, the swap is no more difficult than a B series. like i said, PM if you need help with anything.

Also make sure you replace all your seals, front, rear , balance shaft and get the retainer clip for the balance shaft seal. Cams seals as well. Good luck man , definately get the Driveshaft shop axles. My buddy had a H22 hatch, it ran great, but the pieced together axles were FTL. Do it once and do it right.

Im trying to make the jdm auto ecu to 5 speed
does anybody know what this means, how to make jumper wire or what it is, im a little confused. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">PGMFI.ORG Most Auto Ecus have a jumper at RP11 and have a blank space at RP12. Move RP11 to RP12 and you now have a Manual ECU. Here a closeup of the JDM Jumper configuration: Auto Jumpers R96, C49 and R82 seem to be related to some Auto trans controls but can be left in place. Some ECUs (Like the JDM P13-900) have resistors in both places. You can just remove both of them and replace RP12 with a jumper wire. This applies to all ECUs that share the same board (P11, P12, P13, P14 and P39) </TD></TR></TABLE> heres both ecu's (USDM on left JDM on right) ![]() ![]() ![]() USDM 5 speed ![]() JDM automatic
